For the couples of 'Married At First Sight', the intention for getting on the show is the same -- to marry someone and enter a marriage that would last a lifetime. Paired up by the experts, these singles hope to find 'the one' based on the criteria they've submitted. And while the show has certainly seen its fair share of success stories, it has also seen a sizeable amount of failed marriages.

At the start of Season 13, fans assumed that Myrla and Gil would be the first to kick the bucket, as they seemed to just not get along, with Myrla's need to nitpick and Gil always pointing out how bratty she was. With no physical connection established, it looked like it had ended before it began. But the couple might just be the biggest twist this season.

As Gil and Myrla sat down with the experts, they both spoke about their differences. Gil stated that Myrla being money-driven was the polar opposite of who he is. Her negative attitude brings out a side of him that he didn't like, as he also gets negative. Myrla expressed that she was not a fan of her wedding or ring because she would not apologize for enjoying the finer things in life. When it finally boiled down to their decision, Myrla mentioned that Gil was the kind of person she wanted in her life despite all their hiccups, saying yes to the marriage. Gil responded that despite their issues, he could say that he is in love with her. Willing to make it work, Gil also agreed to stay married.

While the couple celebrated, fans were still busy picking sides. Fans seemed torn as to who was right and wrong between the pair.
"Gil really hates that Myrla is working towards being a millionaire. It literally turns him off. I can't believe he just said that. Eww, Myrla please do not pass go. Find you a man with ambition and drive. That will support and stimulate you. #MAFS #MarriedAtFirstSight" tweeted a fan, siding Myrla. "MYRLA IS AN ABSOLUTE PILL. Within the first 3 minutes of conversation with the experts, she HATED: -THE WEDDING -MEETING NEW PEOPLE -HER WEDDING RING Myrla doesn't need a husband, she needs some freaking therapy! #MAFS #MarriedAtFirstSight #mafsHouston" added another, favouring with Gil.

But more than the relationship, fans were thoroughly distracted by Myrla's eyeshadow instead. "And this eyeshadow is vexing me. #MAFS" tweeted a fan. "Church, yall keep brotha Gil in prayer. We will also take up a collection for sista Myrla's makeup artist who is clearly on the sick and shut in list. #MarriedAtFirstSight #MAFS" added another. "You know Myrla had too much eyeshadow when my husband noticed it #mafs #mafsHouston #MarriedAtFirstSight" tweeted another. "Who punched Myrla in both her eyes?? Lort fire that make-up artist!! #MAFS #MarriedAtFirstSight" said a fan. "And I wanna know who was responsible for slapping that bruise like eyeshadow on Myrla's bare face bc that ain't it  #MAFS #MarriedAtFirstSight" tweeted a fan.
