In a now-private-video shared on YouTube, Britney Spears has opened up about her reportedly traumatizing childhood days. In the 22-minute clip, the 40-year-old singer  spoke about her infamous conservatorship that ended in November 2021 as she also mentioned her growing up days in Kentwood, Louisiana.

As per the The Daily Mail, Britney said, "I was scared and fearful. I didn't really do anything. None of it made sense to me. All I do remember is I had to do what I was told. I was told I was fat every day I had to go to the gym, I had to just, and I'd never remember feeling so demoralized. And just, they made me feel like nothing. And I went along with it because I was scared. I was scared and fearful.”

The ‘Perfume’ singer went on to explain that that fearfulness continued during the conservatorship too. Spears said, “Honestly, I just I didn't give a f**k anymore - because I couldn't go where I wanted to go. I couldn't have the nannies that I wanted to have; I couldn't have cash - and it was just demoralizing. So I was kind of like in this conspiracy thing, of people claiming and, like, treating me like a superstar.”

“But yet, they treated me like nothing,” the Pop Princess said, adding, “No privacy, no door. Nothing. How did they get away with it? And what the f**k did I do to deserve that? I couldn't even smoke cigarettes, people on death row can smoke cigarettes. No cash, no cigarettes, no door for privacy - it changed me.”

Spears added, “I did work seven days a week - no weekends were off. From eight to six I work, sometimes at nine o'clock I'd be able to watch a movie.” In the recording, she angrily expressed, “The whole thing that made it really confusing for me is these people are on the street fighting for me, but my sister and my mother aren’t doing anything. To me, it was like they secretly honestly liked me being the bad one — like I was messed up, and they kind of just liked it that way. Otherwise, why weren’t they outside my doorstep, saying, ‘Baby girl, get in the car. Let’s go.’”

Meanwhile, the story of the ‘Gimme More’ songstress has left many people disheartened online as one of them shared, “Damn that poor woman needs a cuddle from someone who actually cares about her. She's had her life stolen from her for so long.” The second one tweeted: “I love u @britneyspears ! You never be alone anymore.” The third one said, “I was absolutely crying at the end of it.” “I've  listened to and it was heart breaking hearing what she has gone through,” a fourth one stated.

A fan of Spears claimed, “Britney Spears is the real deal.  She doesn’t want money or publicity with sharing her story.  She only wants to help others who’ve experienced similar events as she has. She only wants to help those who have eternal trauma like her.  I just love her so much.” Another one said, “The sad part of this all as a fan is that from 2008 until now, the only time she had hope is Glory. I don't think I could ever listen to Circus, Femme Fatale, and especially Britney Jean ever again. I hate her family so much as they ruined her but made her work so much!”

“Britney Spears uploaded a 22 min audio (now deleted) to her YT channel talking about her conservatorship. And just like with her court testimony, I'm left shattered and with no words. Britney is incredibly brave and strong. #WeLoveYouBritney #JusticeForBritney,” a tweet read.
