When is 'Madam Secretary' Season 6 returning from its winter break?

Halfway into its final season, there's no risk of 'Madam Secretary' being canceled out of the blue, but that doesn't mean fans aren't mourning the series coming to an end.

CBS' political drama 'Madam Secretary' just aired its fall/winter finale, otherwise known as the mid-season finale, and with the beyond-perfect send-off, the final season of the show blessed fans with, it's no secret that the question plaguing every fans' mind is when 'Madam Secretary' will return from its hiatus.

With most shows taking their mid-season break around this time, it's no surprise that 'Madam Secretary' would follow suit too. The break is to pan out 22-24 episodes a season over the span of a 39-week run that is required of each season of most network shows to run for. Plus, winter also marks the onset of the festive season, so people will be more inclined to indulge in Thanksgiving and Christmas specials. But more importantly, it's also time for 'sweep breaks' where TV rating companies do their due research on viewerships and viewer habits to give them a clear idea of what to continue with and what to drop.

Disappointing as the news might be, it's quite likely that CBS will announce the return of such a fan-favorite soon enough.
