CALABASAS, CALIFORNIA: Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) joined his daughter and formerly estranged mother in a sweet Christmas family portrait. 'Bloody Valentine' singer, 32, shared a family portrait on his Instagram with his mother and his daughter Casie Colson Baker, 13, whom he shares with ex Emma Cannon, on Wednesday, December 27. The picture showed the trio posing together with bright and cheerful faces which appeared to have been taken at Kourtney Kardashian Baker and Travis Baker's Christmas Eve party.

Donning leopard-print pants and a cheetah shirt, MGK looked sleek and stylish. As for Casie and his mother, Casie wore a black ensemble paired with a red purse, while the latter wore a floral dress. The picture received a lot of love from MGK followers and fans with one writing, "the photo of you with your mom and casie...our hearts have melted." The rapper also gave us peeks into his life through the series of images, which included shots of him and his mother enjoying drinks in front of a Christmas tree and MGK performing 'Frosty the Snowman' while donning holiday-themed aprons.

Houston-based native, MGK (whose real name is Colson Baker) previously in a collaboration titled 'Burning Memories' from his 'Hotel Diablo' album along with Lil Skies raps about his mother's absence. The lyrics hint at how his mother abandoned their family when he was just nine years old. He raps in the song 'Burning Memories', where parts of the lyrics appear to have been inspired by the challenging experience, "Yeah, this one's for the mama that I never knew (Never knew)/I took acid just to burn all of my memories of you."

The singer subsequently relocated to Denver, Colorado, where he lived with his father, who sadly died in July 2020 from an unidentified ailment unrelated to Covid-19, according to The New York Times

Although there have been hints of their rekindled relationship, MGK revealed in June 2021 said that he had reconciled with his mother and attributed their reunion to the support of his fans, he tweeted at the time revealing, "Wild story but after all these years, the fans are responsible for me and my mom finally reconnecting I love you." He also shared a picture of him and his mother together while captioning the Instagram post, "Introducing … my mom."

As for his daughter Casie, he raved over her innocence and positivity on a recent appearance on 'The Drew Barrymore Show' in December of last year, "I was just walking behind my daughter in the airport the other day and she just has this walk, it's this pure bounce, she's so excited for life like she's so young in her life," Kelly said.

"I've experienced so much in my life. I just pray to every God that exists that she just keeps that bounce forever and that no one interferes with that," he continued, explaining that he hopes he "always get[s] to stand back and watch her have that bounce," as per People.

"Like I will take any amount of torture that would come her way if it can just be on me so that she can keep that forever because… it's worth living for to see that. Her voice is so sweet and it's not tainted with what the world has to offer," he added.
