PACIFIC HARBOUR, FIJI: The first challenge of 'Love Island USA' Season 5 stirred up some much-awaited drama. So far, we saw contestants getting to know each other and there was a fake elimination in order to make the islanders aware of the uncertainty of their situation. The first challenge tested the contestants to see whether their brain matches their beauty or not.

Peacock dropped a clip saying, "A kissing lesson and our first challenge?!" In the clip, we saw the girls preparing Bergie for kissing. They taught him the tricks of how to be a good kisser and it seemed to have done wonders in the challenge. As we wait for 'Love Island USA' Season 5 Episode 3 to unfold more drama, let us take a look at what is the first challenge of the villa.

First challenge tests 'Love Island USA' Season 5 contestants' brain and beauty

Kassy got a text as soon as the islanders woke up in the morning. She shouted excitedly and read the text to the whole house. It said, "Islanders, it's time to see if your brains match your beauty in today's challenge...High School Dropouts #HighSchoolHOtties #LessonInLove." As the name of the challenge said High School Dropouts, it was clear that the contestants would have to dress in attires where they look like high school students. Therefore, for the challenge, the girls were dressed in short checked skirts, white shirts, and shoes, while the boys wore blue shorts and white shirts. The contestants were then given a sentence for the challenge and the competing couple had to come up with word after word related to it. The challenge had different sections and the contestants were allowed to pick from them. Bergie and Destiny got the question, "Things that you put in your mouth." They started by saying "water, finger, food, hair" and then Bergie said "d**k," making Destiny stumble for a second. The one who stumbles, according to the rules, would have to take a dip in the water and the winner would get to kiss a contestant.

Elephant in the room exposed

During the first challenge, Leo kissed Anna. However, Kassy was expecting to be chosen by Leo for the kiss. It seems Leo is playing his chance to get as many girls as he can. Seeing Anna and Leo kiss in the challenge made Kassy feel frustrated. Kassy said to the other girls, "Should we talk about the elephant in the room, she was like (making an imitation of Anna's kiss) going in." She added, "Girl, like, get a room."

Who will win the challenge?

In the challenge, the islanders did not compete as couples, which was a surprising twist. Instead, they were divided into two teams, with each of them being led by one of the two bombshells, Hannah Wright and Carmen Kocourek. A person from one team was to stand up against another from the opposing team and the one who won immediately got the reward for it. The reward was a kiss of their choice. The challenge sparked some new connections and broke some old ones. Hannah loved Bergie in the task and the way he kissed her. On the other hand, it seems Leo and Kassy's bond has been broken. Ultimately, Carmen's team emerged victorious in the challenge, but it seems like winning it isn't the only thing that matters as the islanders bonded over their kisses.
