Liberty Poole received backlash as she pursued a romance with Johnny Middlebrooks after Callum Hole said she's just a 'friend'

SUVA, FIJI: 'Love Island Games' islander Liberty Poole was left "disappointed" in the latest episode of 'Love Island' Games' after Callum Hole dumped her. However, she shared her feelings with Imani Wheeler, who suggested exploring new connections in the villa.

Imani suggested to Liberty, "We're in an environment where we're surrounded by lots of handsome men, so test the waters a bit." Taking her newfound friend's advice, Liberty then went to speak to new bombshell Johnny Middlebrooks, who told the Birmingham-born babe that he loved her "curves".

Liberty, in turn, shared that she thought Johnny was "giving me alpha energy and I'm here for it." Liberty tried to justify that she would be a good challenge partner but Johnny could not understand Liberty's accent and the pair were left in a frenzy.

Meanwhile, Johnny also explored other connections in the villa and the viewers fumed over Liberty for choosing the wrong partner again. A viewer tweeted, "I want the best for Liberty .. but it’s like she doesn’t see f**k boy when it’s right in front of her."

Another person added, "Not Liberty pursuing Johnny. Did she learn nothing from her season???" Another X user said, "Liberty is terrible at picking partners."

A fourth person noted, "Me seeing Liberty go for the wrong guy again." Another critic noted, "Liberty’s taste in men is absolutely concerning."

Callum Hole sees Liberty Poole as just 'friend'

After Callum Hole sparked a connection with the new bombshell Megan Barton Hanson, he decided to break things off with Liberty Poole, whom he had been coupled up with since the start.

Callum invited Liberty for a chat and he told Liberty the truth after she asked him how he saw their relationship. Callum admitted he felt they were just "friends," leaving Liberty looking visibly upset.

Liberty admitted in the confessional, "When Callum told me he just likes sees it as a friends thing it reminded me of all the boys I've been with before." She added, "I want something that's long-lasting in here so I was a bit disappointed."

The islander further noted in the confession, "When I got here and stuff I was like I'm here for fun I'm here for a good time but when I met Callum it felt like we vibed and I don't want to be in the unrequited love situation again."

Callum Hole claimed to have a matching "vibe" with bombshell Megan Barton Hanson. He told his former flame Liberty Poole that he had spoken to Megan and "it went well and there was a vibe there".

Although Liberty was quite disappointed, she appreciated Callum and noted that she was glad he'd been upfront with her.

She confessed, "The first night he kissed me and stuff and I sort of thought it was going in a romantic way but then the first night Meg came in he was kind of [upfront] and said he was feeling her so that kind of threw me a little bit.
