LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Nearly six months after Olivia Newton-John's death at 73, her daughter and husband have unveiled chilling information about the late singer. In an interview with Hoda Kotb that aired on the 'Today' show on Friday, February 17, John Easterling talked about the loss and how he still keeps in touch with Newton-John, his late wife.

Chloe Lattanzi, daugther of Newton-John, joined him for the interview. However, Easterling earlier unveiled that Newton-John was "not in pain" before she died, as per reports. The 'Grease' actress died last August 2022, aged 73, after a long battle with breast cancer. During the interview, Kotb asked, "When do you feel her the most now?"

In response to that, Easterling said, "Late at night, early in the morning," he said, getting emotional. "I'll just be walking around the house or throwing the ball for the dogs and just speak to her out loud," he said, as reported by USA Today. Easterling further added, "A guy I was flying with said, 'You know, John, when you're lucky enough to have found your true soul mate, and you share a heart, when one passes, the other has the obligation to live life for both.' And that was very empowering and very powerful for me, and, you know, and gave a way forward."

Olivia Newton-John and John Easterling's relationship

The romance between Newton-John and Easterling is unforgettable. Despite having been friends for almost 20 years after first meeting at an environmental show in the 1980s, the late 'Xanadu' star and Easterling didn't start dating until around 2006, according to US Weekly. Easterling was a businessman who shared Newton-John's interest in spirituality and holistic treatments and helped her manage her cancer symptoms with self-grown medicinal marijuana, as reported by People.

The two married  in June 2008 after going public with their relationship in 2007. The couple left Peru to elope and were married in an Incan religious ceremony on a mountain top before returning to Florida. Newton-John first experienced symptoms of breast cancer in 1992. Her condition returned in 2013 and struck a third time in 2017. After her prolonged journey with cancer in 2022, Newton died at her home in August 2022 at age 73, as reported by New York Post.
