LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: HBO Max's upcoming true crime miniseries titled 'Love and Death', which will fixate on Candace "Candy" Montgomery's life when she was accused of killing her friend Betty Gore, will undeniably be a captivating and intriguing blend. Candy axed Betty 41 times in her own home with a 3-foot axe.

Candy (Elizabeth Olsen) and Betty Gore's (Lily Rabe) husband, Allan Gore (Jesse Plemons), were engaged in an affair to add some 'spice' to their boring life, which led to Betty's gruesome death. Did Candy and Pat have children?

Candy Wheeler and Pat Montgomery married in the early 1970s when she was a secretary and he was among his organization's brightest electrical engineers. The pair had two kids, Jennifer and Ian, and relocated to Texas, where Wheeler became a full-time stay-at-home parent while Montgomery continued to work and earned a good living.

When Hulu's 'Candy' was created, the children's names were renamed Becky and Jason Montgomery since there was little to no information about the children other than their actual names, which were later revealed. Montgomery's children were named Sean and Sara in 'A Killing in a Small Town,' a 1990 TV movie that was inspired by the case. There has not been any information released about how old the children were when their mother was charged with murdering a friend, but it is recognized that both Jennifer and Ian were incredibly close to their parents and were active members of the community as well as church events.

Where are Jennifer and Ian Montgomery now?

Jennifer and Ian Montgomery were brought up in court during the eight-day murder trial in 1980, but no proof was presented that could suggest Candy had been anything other than a caring mother to the children. Candy Montgomery was found not guilty by a jury and released on October 30, following which her family relocated to Georgia, where they currently reside.

Candy and Pat's dull marriage transformed out to be filled with spice and adventure for a brief duration when Wheeler and Gore engaged in an affair that led to Betty Gore’s death and the eight-day trial. Even though Montgomery stood by his wife’s side throughout, the couple eventually decided to part ways a few years later. The children, like their parents, have avoided the spotlight to live relatively ordinary lives. Despite this, the sources can confirm that they have families of their own and are currently doing well in both their personal and professional endeavors. 

‘Love and Death’ will premiere on HBO Max on April 27.
