Arsenio Hall and George Lopez will co-host The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation’s (LADF) fourth annual Blue Diamond Gala Monday, June 11, at Dodger Stadium. And to celebrate the foundation’s impactful work, John Legend – the multi-award winning, platinum-selling singer-songwriter – will headline the show too!

LADF has invested more than $21 million into the Los Angeles community in the form of direct programs and grants to local organizations; so expect a star-studded blue carpet and pre-show dinner party followed by two hours of entertainment and post-show food trucks.

Proceeds from the Blue Diamond Gala will support the expansion of LADF’s direct programs — Dodgers Dreamfields and Dodger RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) — and help LADF reach its goal of building 50 baseball fields in underserved communities.

“The Blue Diamond Gala is one of the most exciting nights of the year, and we know that Arsenio and George will make it even more memorable,” said Mark Walter, Dodger owner and chairman of the LADF Board. “Our vision is for the foundation’s programs, including the 50th Dodgers Dreamfield that will be built with gala proceeds, to improve the lives of 10,000 children annually.”

The Los Angeles Dodgers Ownership Group – which is presenting the 2018 Blue Diamond Gala – includes Walter; Earvin “Magic” Johnson; Todd Boehly; Robert “Bobby” Patton, Jr.; and Peter Guber. Serving as this year’s event chairs are Emily and Teddy Greenspan; Terri and Eric Holoman; William McMorrow; Stephanie and Nicholas Sandler; Sarah and Kurt Rappaport, Cindy Starrett and Allan Bates; and Renata and Ken Simril. For tickets and information, please visit www.dodgers.com/gala.

As for the co-hosts, both Hall and Lopez became household names for their exceptional comedic skills.

Hall has an extremely successful Emmy Award-winning late-night talk show, “The Arsenio Hall Show”, but the versatile actor, comedian and producer first became involved in the arts at “The Cleveland Playhouse” and continued to hone his craft through his Kent State University years. Right now he is enjoying a triumphant return to his first love of stand-up comedy, performing at venues across the country.

As for Lopez, his multi-faceted career encompasses television, film, standup comedy, and late-night television. He is also currently on his standup comedy tour, The Comedy Get Down, with Eddie Griffin, D.L. Hughley, and Cedric the Entertainer in arenas across the country.

LADF – which is the official team charity of the Los Angeles Dodgers – works with the primary focus to support cornerstone programs in Sports + Recreation, Education + Literacy and Health + Wellness benefitting children and families in need throughout the greater Los Angeles region.

By leveraging strategic partnerships, the mission is to harness the power of the Dodger brand and the passion Dodger fans have for Los Angeles into a vehicle for positive change in underserved communities.
