Jennifer Lopez is worried by signs Ben Affleck is struggling with media glare, just as he did in 2002
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Two tense exchanges between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck in the public eye, within days of each other, has the media and public speculating if all is well with the couple. The Hollywood actor and director was captured on camera holding open a car door for his wife before slamming it in her face and then directing his ire at the people watching him.
Ben appeared to shrug in displeasure when advised to "have a good day" by the individual who was recording the incident. According to JLo's body language, there may be "a repeat of the pressures" that led to their first engagement being broken off, according to body language expert Judi James, as reported by Mirror. Then, at the premiere of JLo's 'The Mother', the pair were reportedly seen pointing fingers at one another while having another tense conversation.

The pair was previously engaged from 2002 until 2004 when they called it quits when Ben grew uncomfortable with the overwhelming public attention. They later got married last year, in 2022. Judi said, "Their previous split left Jennifer 'heartbroken,' and she did suggest that 'being under siege' from the press caused a problem for them as a couple, so seeing Ben get tetchy enough to slam her car door because they're being photographed together getting coffee is not a good look."
'Ben walks in front of Jennifer, and his mood appears to have shifted'
She further added, "The car door incident came after some very sweet moments between the couple as they went off to get a coffee. Ben walks in front of Jennifer, and his mood appears to have shifted. He opens the car door for her but fails to look at her as she climbs in, although he does glance before he shuts the door," as reported by Mirror.
Even the way he shuts the door is hilarious. He emphasize not wanting to exercise chivalry on her!

In the end, Judi added, "His door-shutting gesture looks dramatic and angry, although any irritation seems to be caused by and aimed at the photographers, who he continues to communicate with and gesticulate to once he gets to his side of the car." The body language expert speculated that the introverted actor was finding it difficult to have the press hound his every move when he is with JLo.
"The worry is if he is again finding being 'under siege' difficult, which could in turn worry Jennifer if there was a repeat of the pressures that led to their first engagement and marriage being called off," Judi explained. The pair was also seen exchanging heated words at the premiere of Lopez's latest film, 'The Mother'. Photos from the event show the duo pointing at one another, and it appears like they were arguing while they spoke, as per reports.
'Caught out of context'
"Perhaps this couple was caught out of context," Judi speculated. "But they are A-list fame veterans and so completely used to having cameras around that being caught in what look like 'tense' exchanges that occur like little pockets of potential trouble in between their on-message, idyllically loved-up PDAs is beginning to look clumsy as it is guaranteed to worry their fans," she remarked.
Jennifer "looked calm," whereas Ben "appeared animated, making up-close eye contact with raised brows that created a different mood from their dewy looks of love," as reported by Mirror.
