Lizzo flaunts curves in thong to celebrate vegan journey, fans laud 'true Queen' after trolls call her a 'cow'
Lizzo looked all bold and beautiful as she posed in a thong bodysuit to mark the half-year anniversary of her vegan diet journey. The 32-year-old has always hit back at body shamers and knows how to love her body. Sharing a short video on her TikTok account, Lizzo celebrated six months of being a vegan. The video began with a clip that showed her at the beginning “of quarantine making what looks like a stale donut poundcake milkshake type concoction." “This was after a whirlwind tour and year. And after being seven years vegetarian, going back to eating all animal products,” she was heard saying.
Soon after that, the footage showed a more recent Lizzo "making a vegan protein shake." The ‘Juice’ singer then explained, “Honestly, I am both of these women, and I cannot condemn one woman or the other. I'm happy both ways, and right now, this is what's bringing me joy. This is me at the beginning of quarantine," she narrated over images of her dancing and singing in the kitchen in her underwear. "Happy. Loving myself. Dancing."
Concluding the clip, Lizzo posed in a sleek wig and the bodysuit as she added, “And you know what? I'm still that happy girl, loving myself, and loving my body. Love yourself at all stages in your life, because you are who you are,” The Sun reported. You can see her video here.
But her positive message was not taken in a good way by some as one tweeted, "I know cows are vegan but eating one doesn’t make you one... Lizzo poses in a thong to celebrate 6 months on vegan diet." Another one added: "This is supposed to be inspirational???? Lizzo poses in a thong to celebrate 6 months on vegan diet." However, one of her fans said: "Protect @lizzo at all cost! No matter what y’all say about her she’s gonna still be herself and be happy!! A True Queen!

The ‘Truth Hurts’ singer has always been vocal about body positivity. In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, she had said: “Now, there's a whole new generation of kids listening to music that encourages them to love themselves and accept their bodies. And I remember what listening to music did for me, what other artists have done for me growing up, and it's really full circle to see that start to happen with my music. That was the goal — to help bring some type of positive change and positive influence to the world and the way we feel about ourselves and this is really starting to happen now."
Earlier, in June, Lizzo clapped back at her trolls by sharing her workout regimen on her TikTok page. The video also included a powerful audio message. Captioning the post, she wrote: “If you’re not a fat shamer, keep scrolling... ok now that all the fat shamers are here.” In the audio for the footage, she was heard saying: “Hey, so I've been working out consistently for the last five years. It may come as a surprise to some of y'all but I'm not working out to have your ideal body type — I'm working out to have my ideal body type. And you know what type that is? None of your f***ing business, because I am beautiful, I am strong, I do my job and I stay on my job.”
“So, the next time you want to come to somebody and judge them, whether they drink kale smoothies or eat McDonald’s or workout or not workout, how about you look at your own f***ing self, and worry about your own Godd**n body because health is not just determined on what you look like on the outside. Health is also what happens on the inside, and a lot of y'all need to do a f***ing cleanse for your insides,” Lizzo added.
