DUXBURY, MASSACHUSETTS: The terrifying audio of the 911 dispatch call made after Duxbury mother Lindsay Clancy strangled her three children and then tried to kill herself has been brought to light. The recording depicts her severe wounds, including lacerations and cuts on her wrists, which she is thought to have inflicted on herself before jumping from her house's window.

As reported by Daily Mail, the "over the top" mix of medications had been provided to Lindsay, 32, who was suffering from severe postpartum depression, and her sympathetic husband Patrick Clancy believes that this is what caused the horror. She survived the suicide attempt and is currently being treated at a hospital as she awaits the murder trial for killing her children Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and infant Callan, who was just eight months old.

'Horrifying 911 call'

The 911 call made by Lindsay Clancy's husband Patrick, who returned from getting takeout food for the family and discovered her laying outside their home, is not included in the recording. Lindsay's attorney Kevin J Reddington earlier told a judge that the Massachusetts mother felt like a "zombie" after taking the medicines she had been prescribed. As reported by Daily Mail, investigators are currently looking into the possibility that she had postpartum psychosis. "We've got a person who suffered grievously as a result of what possibly could be postpartum depression, postpartum psychosis," he stated.

'Overmedicated mother'

Reddington also talked about the "horrific" concoction of prescription drugs Lindsay had been given. As MEAWW reported earlier, the midwife mother was on 12 prescribed medicated drugs between October 2022 and January 2023. Out of the 12 drugs, nine have been identified by the attorney as zolpidem (Ambien), clonazepam, (Klonopin), diazepam (Valium), fluoxetine (Prozac), lamotrigine, (Lamictil), lorazepam, (Ativan), mirtazapine, (Remeron), quetiapine fumarate, (Seroquel) and trazodone.

Lindsay is still being treated by doctors in a hospital in Boston and is scheduled to be virtually arraigned. A funeral took place for the three children on Friday, February 3, 2023, as reported by WCVB.
