DUXBURY, MASSACHUSETTS: A fundraiser set up for helping Lindsay Clancy’s husband has raised more than $1 million on Friday, February 3. This was after he asked the public to forgive his wife for strangling their three young children. Created by a close family member, the GoFundMe page was set up on January 27 and focused on Patrick Clancy, who is struggling to navigate the “unimaginable tragedy” that occurred on January 24 when his children – Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and seven-month-old Callan – were found unconscious in their Duxbury home.
Patrick, who was working from home that day, left and went out for 25 minutes to pick up food. He arrived at their family home around 6 pm to find his children “unconscious, with obvious signs of trauma,” according to the fundraising page. The grieving husband also found his wife lying unconscious outside their home and frantically called 911. Upon their arrival, the officers from the Plymouth Police Department gave CPR to the infants before rushing them to a local hospital, where Cora and Dawson were pronounced dead. Callan, who managed to survive, was flown to Boston Children's Hospital, where he died on Friday, January 27.

What are the charges against Lindsay Clancy?
It was also reported that Lindsay, who allegedly suffered from severe post-partum psychosis, tried to take her own life by jumping out of the window after strangling her children. The mother is currently recovering in a Massachusetts hospital and is being pressed with several charges including two counts of murder, three counts of strangulation or suffocation, and three counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon. The horrific tragedy left Patrick devastated but he is still standing by his wife’s side.
Mathew Glaser, who described himself as part of the Clancy's 'extended family', started the GoFundMe campaign on Patrick's behalf, writing, "This GoFundMe is intended to help Pat pay for medical bills, funeral services, and legal help. This assistance is especially needed because Pat will be unable to work for the foreseeable future as he weathers this painful, life-altering tragedy."
On January 28th, Glaser posted Patrick's words to generous donors who had raised a substantial amount of money within days of the tragedy. Patrick thanked donors for their "love and support" adding, "the warmth I’ve received from the community is palpable and your generosity gives me hope that I can focus on some sort of healing." He also asked people to find it in their hearts to forgive Lindsay as he himself had. He wrote, "I want to ask all of you that you find it deep within yourselves to forgive Lindsay, as I have. The real Lindsay was generously loving and caring towards everyone - me, our kids, family, friends, and her patients. The very fibers of her soul are loving. All I wish for her now is that she can somehow find peace."
Why was the fundraiser created for Patrick Clancy?
The statement given by Patrick on the GoFundMe page truly moved everyone and garnered donations from more than 15,000 people. But there are also some people who are questioning if the fundraiser is for the three innocent children’s funeral or Lindsay’s legal bills. Raising the question on social media, one user highlighted an article that quoted the GoFundMe description, which mentioned that the money raised would be used to cover “medical bills, funeral costs, and legal expenses.”

Well, if you read it in full, you’d see that it’s also to help support him financially as he won’t be able to return to work for a while. It also doesn’t say it’s for her legal fees, tho that’s his right. He lost all 3 of his children. I can spare 50 bucks.

A third user countered these sentiments, saying “Well, if you read it in full, you’d see that it’s also to help support him financially as he won’t be able to return to work for a while.
