DUXBURY, MASSACHUSETTS: Lindsay Musgrove Clancy, charged with strangling her three children to death, is recovering in a Massachusetts hospital from injuries she sustained after jumping out of a window and is "improving daily," police said. Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and seven-month-old Callan Clancy were strangled last week inside the family residence in Duxbury.
Cora and Dawson were pronounced dead at a Massachusetts hospital on January 24, the day of the attack. Callan Clancy, the youngest sibling, also succumbed to his injuries on Friday, January 27. Lindsay, who allegedly suffered from severe post-partum psychosis, reportedly grew up in Wallingford and graduated from Lyman Hall High School in 2007 and Quinnipiac University in Hamden in 2012. The 32-year-old is currently facing at least two counts of murder and other charges.

"I don't have her current condition," Duxbury Chief of Police Michael Carbone wrote in an email to the New Haven Register. "She is, however, improving daily and has spoken to family and friends." Carbone said Duxbury detectives and Plymouth District Attorney Timothy Cruz's office are working together to schedule an arraignment, but that will depend on Lindsay's condition. The perp's grandmother, Rita Musgrove, said Wednesday, February 1, she didn't know how her granddaughter was doing but was awaiting clarification amid news of the deaths of her great-grandchildren. "We don't know," Rita Musgrove told Hearst Connecticut Media. "Everything is so difficult right now," she said, insisting the family is just waiting to see how things proceed. "We really don't know."
Devastated father Patrick Clancy, who was allegedly out picking up some takeout when the tragedy befell, addressed the tragedy in a Sunday post on a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for medical bills, funeral costs, and legal expenses. The page had raised nearly $1 million at the time of publication. "The shock and pain is excruciating and relentless," Patrick wrote. "I’m constantly reminded of (his children) and with the little sleep I get, I dream about them on repeat." The doleful father continued, "Any parent knows, it’s impossible to understand how much you will love your kids until you have them. The same goes for understanding the devastation of losing them. Cora, Dawson, and Callan were the essence of my life and I’m completely lost without them."
Furthermore, he showed compassion for his wife despite the horrific crimes she's accused of committing. "I want to ask all of you that you find it deep within yourselves to forgive Lindsay, as I have," Patrick urged. "The real Lindsay was generously loving and caring towards everyone — me, our kids, family, friends, and her patients," he added. "The very fibers of her soul are loving. All I wish for her now is that she can somehow find peace."
Investigators believe Lindsay attacked her children and jumped from a second-floor window at their family home. Emergency responders found her and the kids unconscious with obvious signs of trauma. An arrest warrant was subsequently issued for the mother on two counts of homicide and three each of strangulation and assault and battery with a deadly weapon. According to New Haven Register, Lindsay worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital and is currently being treated at a Boston hospital. She may be facing additional charges and her arraignment is yet to be scheduled at this time.
