Lil Durk was chilling at his Georgia mansion with his girlfriend India Royale when he faced a home invasion robbery. The suspects for the same are yet to be identified. The duo was also the victim of aggravated assault by the unidentified individuals after they entered his home, as reported by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The invasion took place on Sunday, July 11.

The news of the unfortunate incident comes after Lil Durk's brother, DThang, 32, was found dead outside a nightclub in Chicago a few days ago. Reportedly, he was "shot in the head and died on the spot" on South Loomis Boulevard. As of now, it is not clear how many suspects entered the home. The investigation is going on as police are asking for tips from the public. Tekashi 6ix9ine, who has time and again poked fun at Lil Durk, was also trending for laughing at the rapper’s tragedy.

Lil Durk, whose real name is Durk Derrick Banks, was born in 1992 and later started dropping music on MySpace and YouTube with an intention to expand his fan base online. The 28-year-old hip-hop artist took his music seriously in 2011. He apparently got signed to Chief Keef and French Montana's respective labels. The Atlanta-based rapper first shot to fame with singles like ‘Sneak Dissin’ and ‘I'ma Hitta’.
