'Life After Lockup' finale: Shane and Lacey expecting triplets but financial and health concerns haunt couple
Shane and Lacey's marriage has been one with troughs and crests. They have experienced a gamut of emotions together and are all set to add to it – the couple is prepping to welcome new members to their family of five. In the season finale of 'Life After Lockup,' they find out they're pregnant with triplets, of which one's a pair of identical twins. Lacey and Shane are both excited and nervous upon receiving the news because they were possibly aiming for just one. In her confessional, Lacey points out that raising 6 children would be financially challenging while Shane expressed how worried he was because it would increase health risks by a significant amount.
"Financially supporting six children is crazy. Like, that is insane," Lacey points out. However, her doctor says she is in an early stage of pregnancy (a little over 5 weeks) and they'll take necessary steps as the days progress. Shane inquired about the chances of all of the babies progressing, to which the doctor responded: "It's really too early to say. We just have to wait and see. okay?"
Even though Shane is "extremely happy" that they are expecting babies, he is concerned about her health and how much of a risk it would be for her to carry triplets. "We can end up losing the twins or we could end up losing all three of them," he said during his green-room interview.
Meanwhile, fans have expressed their concerns about the couple having a baby. Some are hoping that Lacey isn't having babies to make former lover John jealous. "Lacey...the one that disposes of people like used toilet paper wants to have a baby with Shane. This is an awful thought but I wouldn't be surprised, that in the back of her mind she's thinking it will make John jealous But keep Shane on the chain. #lifeafterlockup," a fan commented, while another expressed: "Lacey and Shane wasted no time conceiving hopefully Lacey is being genuine though and not having this baby to upset John. l I think Shane should've waited. I think his age is a barrier lol Lacey dictates the relationship and has mind control over him smh #lifeafterlockup."
