It's been a whole year since actor Liam Hemsworth filed for divorce from his multi-hyphenate ex-wife Miley Cyrus. A year after announcing that they are no longer together, the couple are on very different paths and moving ahead in life. However, a source close to Hemsworth has recently revealed certain details about how the actor feels about the 'Wrecking Ball' performer.

The former couple met on the sets of their film 'The Last Song' in 2009 and began dating shortly after. Since then the couple dated on and off for years, it was a very public relationship with both their fandoms being equally invested in the union. The couple finally tied the knot at Cyrus' Tenessee home in December 2018. Their marriage fell apart and Hemsworth filed for divorce seven months later but their case was finalized only in January 2020.

Speaking to Us Weekly, a source close to the Australian actor revealed, "Liam kind of has a low opinion of Miley at this point." The source went on to further speak about Hemsworth's thoughts about Cyrus quickly moving on from the broken marriage. "Miley and Liam haven't talked much since their divorce. Liam was hurt by Miley moving on with new love interests shortly after they broke up," the source said referring to Miley's month-long relationship with Kaitlynn Carter and then Cody Simpson.

Shortly after splitting with Hemsworth, the 'Hannah Montana' alum started dating 'The Hills: New Beginnings' star Carter. Even though the short-lived relationship was very public, Carter revealed on The Viall Files podcast that they tried very hard to keep the relationship under wraps. "We actually did work pretty hard to keep it as private as we could, but it is what it is. It’s so hard to go through a breakup in the public eye, too... It’s so rough. But there’s also a lot to be gained and learned from that," Carter said.

Cyrus has been on and off with Simpson as well and PageSix reported on Thursday, August 13, that the couple of 10-months has split and Cyrus addressed the breakup on Instagram Live. "But for right now, two halves can’t make a whole, and we’re individually just working on ourselves to become the people that we want to be, like everybody else at this age," she said (via DailyMail). In the same session, she also said that she has been friends with Simpson for over 10 years and asked her fans to not be surprised if they are seen "hanging out or getting pizza".

Cyrus had surely moved on, however, a source close to Hemsworth revealed that the actor was very heartbroken and he sought solace in the company of his equally famous brothers Chris and Luke Hemsworth. "[He] has had the support of his family to help him move on," the source said. "Liam has been trying to be as private as possible and respectful about their relationship and breakup, and it’s a shame to him and his family that certain aspects about his and Miley's relationship have been made public. He’s a very traditional and good guy and was very hurt by the way specific instances played out in front of the world," the source added.

He is now dating model Gabriella Brooks and a source revealed to the outlet in March that he "feels more at home with Gabriella than he did with Miley and feels like he can be his complete self without any drama."
