'LHHMIA': Amara La Negra forgives her dad for absence despite her mom warning her

Amara La Negra's family drama is unraveling on Season 4 of 'Love & Hip Hop: Miami'. After growing up without a father for most of her life, Amara was pleasantly surprised when her father, Daniel, tried to connect with her on the previous season of the reality show. Despite her mother- Mami Ana's warnings against meeting Daniel, Amara went ahead and met him. She wanted to hear his side of the story.

Daniel explained to her that he was sent back to Puerto Rico and couldn't be with Amara or her mother because of passport issues. He also used the opportunity to ask his daughter for some money to fund his medical expenses. To everybody's surprise, Amara readily forgave her father and began to slowly work on rebuilding her relationship with him. So, on the recently aired episode of 'LHHMIA', she once again asked her father to reveal the real reason why he wasn't around while she was growing up. Daniel then explained that after he returned to Puerto Rico, Amara's mom found herself another man and moved on with her life, so he decided to step back.

Amara was taken aback on hearing her father's side of the story, as she never knew that her mother had another man in her life. So she confronted her mother about it. Mami Ana then clarified that she did get another man but it was much later. She pointed out how she repeatedly tried to reach out to Daniel for help with raising Amara, but when she never heard back from him she finally had no choice but to move on. She also told Amara that Daniel should have told that to her face instead of confiding in Amara.

Soon an explosive fight broke out between Daniel and Mami Ana, as each of them started blaming each other for how things panned out between them. A very frustrated Amara intervened and explained to her parents why this explanation and discussion was important to her. The 'LHHMIA' star broke down while recounting how not having a father figure in her life adversely impacted her relationships with the other men in her life. Although Amara seemed to believe her father's version of the story, fans however are pretty skeptical about it and are siding with Mami Ana.

Many fans pointed out that if Daniel really wanted to be in Amara's life then nothing would have stopped him from doing so. A fan tweeted, "I'm sticking with the story the mom has stated. Fans also warned Amara against completely trusting her father and suggested therapy to heal her trauma. A fan expressed, "Amara believe your beautiful mother this dude left you and he is just now throwing her under the bus when you are successful. I hope she’s careful #LHHMIA." "This fool abandoned her from little and only showed up after she found success and fame... and she's just willing to just forgive. She's blaming Mami Ana for what her father did. It's not her fault that man left. A year without a word?! Sir Please. #LHHMIA," seconded another fan. "I feel so bad for my Amara.Clearly not having her dad. Left lasting trauma. She needs therapy. And proof he's changed. #lhhmia," shared a fan.
