LeBron James struggles to control his smirk as Macy Gray sings national anthem at All-Star game

Macy Gray was actually trying to do something different from the last year's performance, however, it didn't go well with some of them

NBA with a mixture of little fun is always heartening to see, this time when Macy Gray performed the All-star anthem, it evoked laughter and some grins among the stars and audience. LeBron James could barely contain himself as he seemed to grin and control his laughter during the anthem. 

As the NBA All-Star Game tipped off, James was shown on camera smiling and struggling to keep himself from laughing during Macy Gray’s national-anthem performance. The Grammy Award-winning R&B singer sang a peculiar version of “The Star Spangled Banner,” particularly in her melodic and vocal decisions near the end of the performance. She was accompanied by a guitarist. As soon as she ended her last note, the reaction among the audience started trending on social media.

Gray was actually trying to do something different from the last year's performance, however, it didn't go well with some of them. It was a similar scene to Fergie’s performance before the 2018 NBA All-Star Game when stars Steph Curry and Draymond Green were shown visibly confused and laughing at the 46-year-old’s rendition of the anthem. Well, this time MG's rendition has been widely mocked, particularly after LeBron's reaction, who was seen apparently fighting back laughter when the camera panned to him. 

James was standing next to Steph Curry, who kept his composure this time ... and you can see LBJ with a big grin on his face as Macy sings. When he looks up to the Jumbotron and sees his reaction was captured, he bows his head in embarrassment, trying to hide. He wasn’t the only one who was left stunned by the show, one Bill Murray was in the crowd as well, and he seemed dumbfounded by what he was hearing. Others, too, looked on with confusion, maybe even terror! While some were reactionless, enjoying the music it seemed. Still, Macy powered through it and ended with one of the shortest “brave” refrains we’ve ever heard. She got a round of applause, obviously, and was graceful upon completion. 

The 54-year-old veteran singer, Natalie Renée McIntyre, or today's Macy Gray was nominated for five times Grammy awards, however winning one.  Well, this was not the first time she has been centered, she’s actually had some thoughts on Old Glory of late suggesting the flag needs to be redesigned to reflect modern-day America, which was undoubtedly mocked by many and this unique rendition of Anthem has made her much more vulnerable to trolls.
