'Lmao f**k this man': Lauren Jauregui slams Elon Musk after losing Twitter blue tick
The blue tick from Twitter has long been seen as an indicator of reliability and trustworthiness but with Elon Musk's latest move to remove the legacy verified blue ticks from all accounts, many celebs are left fuming. Twitter had about 300,000 verified users under the original blue-check system including journalists, athletes and public figures, reported AP.
The verified credential can only be kept on a user's profile if they have a paid subscription to Twitter Blue. Some famous people have lost their blue tick marks as a result of this decision, however, others still paid to keep them. Fifth Harmony singer Lauren Jauregui recently took to Twitter after losing the blue checkmark and wrote, "Ooo I’m officially unverified lmao f**k this man."
Ooo I’m officially unverified✨🥰 lmao fuck this man

Numerous other celebrities, besides Jauregui, have lost their blue checkmark. They posted on Twitter in response to Twitter's blue tick purge. For instance, comedian Quinta Brunson declared that she would never use the site again after losing her blue checkmark. "This really works out for me because I was planing on never using this website again after tonight, anyway. Just wanted to stay to give Abbott updates :) By the way, Thanks to our fans here for watching and sharing all season I will be like this tomorrow though,"
