Who is Lauren Boebert's husband? 'Monster' Rep calls Covid vaccines 'Fauci ouchie' in CPAC rant
Republican representative Lauren Boebert from Colorado was severely criticized after one of her problematic statements about Covid-19 surfaced. In a viral video clip from CPAC 2021, Lauren can be heard saying, "Don't come knocking on my door with your Fauci Ouchie!" She is believed to be referring to the door-to-door vaccinations drive. The pandemic claimed the lives of nearly 600,000 Americans.
Soon after the video was shared by author Don Winslow, the phrase 'Lauren Boebert Is A Monster' started trending on Twitter. Hundreds of Twitter users shared the video with the hashtag, slamming Lauren for her tasteless remark about the pandemic and Dr Anthony Fauci. In her personal life, 34-year-old Lauren is married to Jayson Boebert and shares four sons with him. The couple got married in 2005 and in 2013, they opened 'Shooters Grill' — a restaurant in Rifle, Colorado, where waiters openly brandish guns. Lauren once called her husband "the most selfless man I know" in a tweet wishing him on their anniversary. However, like his embattled wife, Jayson's life is not bereft of controversies either.

Who is Jayson Boebert?
The Q-Anon believing GOP Rep appears to be very much in love with her husband Jayson, a former well site supervisor working at Chesapeake Energy. The College of Southern Nevada graduate had also worked as a roughneck for Nabors Drilling before getting into the restaurant business with his wife. According to online records, he operated Boebert Consulting LLC from 2012 to 2019.
Jayson and Lauren met each other after he moved from his hometown Las Vegas to Colorado. They got married in 2005 and harbor similar ideologies. "We had to develop conservative values over the years. We learned that when times get tough, we buckle down and get tougher," she told The Herald Times once.
In June 2020, she wished her husband on the occasion of their 15th anniversary where she said, "Happy anniversary to the most selfless man I know! Thank you, Jayson, for standing with me in every season. I’ve learned by allowing our strengths to cover one another’s weaknesses, we are steadfast and immovable. I love that I get to live life having you by my side!”
The couple is parents to four sons aged 15, 13, 11 and 8 years, all of whom attend a private school in Glenwood Springs. Their eldest son was born when Lauren was just 18, and she was forced to drop out of high school to secure a job for her family. Her third son, Kayden, was born in 2009 at the front seat of Jayson's pickup truck, according to Aspen Times.
Jayson Boebert's controversies
Though he is perceived as a supportive husband and doting father, Jayson has had his fair share of controversies ranging from indecent exposure to domestic violence arrest. In 2004, Jayson reportedly exposed his genitals to young girls at a bowling alley. More shockingly, the young victims comprised his future wife and another 16-year-old minor.

According to Colorado blogger Anne Landman, Lauren, who then went by her maiden name Lauren Opal Roberts, was also listed as one of the victims. Reportedly, Jayson interjected a conversation about tattoos that Lauren was having with other teenage girls and told them that he had a tattoo on his penis. As they turned away to ignore him, he came closer and unzipped his pants to flash his genitals.
After pleading to public indecency and lewd exposure, he was sentenced to four days in jail and two years in probation. The same year, Jayson was arrested again for domestic violence against Lauren after he allegedly shoved and kicked her before striking her. However, at the time of her campaign in 2021, Lauren said that the news about Jayson's criminal past was "a retread of a failed personal attack by the Democrats from the last campaign".
With her comment on Covid-19 earning a lot of flak, it is worth mentioning here that the Boeberts' restaurant 'Shooters Girll' came under fire for violating safety protocols. The restaurant was shut down for a while and their food license was revoked after the eatery defied a shutdown order. Prior to this, over 80 people had fallen sick once after having food poisoning from the restaurant.
