#BlahBlahBoebert trends as Lauren Boebert calls Joe Biden a 'tyrant' for saying 'no amendment is absolute'
After President Joe Biden put out a strong statement condemning gun violence on Thursday, April 8, which included the phrase, "no amendment to the Constitution is absolute," Colorado Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO), a vocal advocate of gun laws, was especially fired up.
In his speech, Biden called the arguments for the Second Amendment "phony", and dubbed the issue "an international embarrassment". He also issued a series of tweets on the matter, with one saying, "We need to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines in this country. There’s no reason somebody needs a weapon of war with 100 rounds in a magazine. None." Without wasting any time, Boebert took to Twitter to express her displeasure at the president's choice of words. "The Second Amendment is absolute. Anyone who says otherwise is a tyrant," she said.
