Larsa Pippen says she was dating Tristan Thompson when he left her for Khloe Kardashian: 'I don't even care'
Any hopes that Larsa Pippen harbored of making her way back into the exclusive circle of the extravagant KarJenner family is down the drains. A source close to the family claims that the explosive interview Scottie Pippen's ex-wife did a couple of days ago was the last straw. In the said interview, Larsa has blamed Kim Kardashian's husband rapper Kanye West for "brainwashing" the clan against her after which they turned their backs on her. She also claimed to have brought Tristan Thompson into their lives, claiming that she and he were a thing, way before they even know that he existed.
Larsa and Kim started hanging out publicly way back in 2012. She and Jonathan Cheban aka Foodgod were to Kim what Simon Huck or Harry Hudson is to Kourtney Kardashian. A true 'KUWTK' fan will understand what we mean. Kim went on record calling Larsa her "best friend" and the most "positive person" she knew. For the uninitiated, Larsa spent a considerable amount of time in her hometown Chicago before settling for her lavish Los Angeles life. She's a University of Illinois graduate with a political science degree. Now, she manages her own beauty/fashion/lifestyle website called Life With Larsa and also is the owner of multiple businesses including a fitness brand called Larsa Pippen Fitness.
Coming back to her friendship with Kim and the extended Kar-Jenner family, people began to notice when each member of the family unfollowed Larsa on Instagram. She too didn't waste much time identifying what had happened and followed suit, conducting a social media purge of her own and then went on to address the drama. "I woke up this morning blessed and see that everybody is focused on who I am following and who I am not following on social media. I am focused on my children, my new fitness brand Larsapippenfitness, and my relationships in real life. Praying that everybody finds peace in their own lives and focus on what brings THEM happiness," she wrote on her Instagram story which was captured by Cosmopolitan.com.
There was a lot being said about what might have happened between the Kar-Jenners and Larsa. However, none of them addressed this directly until November 9 when the latter finally explained what according to her caused a rift in their relationship, alleging that Kanye West had a big role to play in it.
“I just feel like Kanye was in a place where he really didn’t trust anyone with Kim,” Larsa said during an interview with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn, hosts of Hollywood Raw podcast. She added that he would call her up at all hours of the night to “rant” and that “[Kanye] has literally brainwashed the whole family into thinking… I don’t even know what,” she said. “He talks so much about me being this and that and this and that.”
She also spoke about being involved with Tristan Thompson way before the Kar-Jenners did. Speaking about him, Larsa said, “I was seeing him, I had him come to LA. I brought him to a party Kim had. I introduced him to all of them,” Scottie Pippen’s estranged wife explained. She added, “Then a week later, maybe 10 days later, [Tristan] started seeing Khloe.” About how she felt when that happened, she said, "I don’t even care. It’s just, whatever. I’m the type of person, I don’t really, like, chase what’s not for me. I will never chase a man.”
Her interview has not boded well for any chances that she might have of reconnecting with her ex-best friend and her family. "The KarJenners are known for having each other’s backs when it comes to their tight-knit group of friends and family. They don’t speak out about their personal lives unless it’s something that’s discussed among those involved, and like any family, they don’t publicly air dirty laundry,” a source close to the Kar-Jenners told HollywoodLife.com. “So they feel betrayed that Larsa would not only do this interview and talk about their family behind their backs but also say things that are hurtful and unnecessary.” said the source. “Larsa was a trusted friend for Kim and everyone in the Kardashian family. So for her to air her thoughts the way she did was a huge betrayal of their trust. The family is more disappointed than anything and they don’t imagine being friends with her ever again," revealed another source.
Sources close to Khloe have quashed Larsa's claims about dating Tristan just days before the youngest Kardashian sister did. "Larsa brought Tristan to LA, but Khloe doesn’t believe for one second that she was dating Tristan right before she was,” the source claimed. “And for Larsa to talk about Kanye like that and to say he’s brainwashing everybody is really disheartening, especially given Larsa’s history with Kim.”
