Larry King’s widow Shawn faces lawsuit for failing to pay $67K in arrears to financial management firm
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The estranged wife of late Larry King is facing a lawsuit after being accused of breach of contract and failing to pay $67k. Shawn Southwick King has been sued by Blouin & Company that provides financial management services. The company had earlier been sued by the actress for $100 million as she blamed them for conspiring against her with Larry King’s son, Larry Jr.
However, the new suit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court reportedly states that the firm was hired by the television host in 2002 with the responsibility of financially managing his businesses as well as his and Shawn's personal finances. The deal was finalized over a $14,500 monthly payment but after Larry’s death last year, the company has alleged not received any payment despite their continuous service to the radio host’s businesses and to Shawn.

Radaronline.com citing the court papers reported that “Shawn has not paid the invoices for those services. In May 2021, the firm said Shawn terminated the contract with Blouin & Company and refused to pay the $67k. Now, the firm accuses Shawn of breach of contract and are demanding the full amount plus interest.”
This comes after Shawn had filed papers against Blouin & Company and alleged that it was conspiring with Larry Jr to cut her out of Larry’s fortune. The suit reportedly stated, “The Blouin Defendants led a fraudulent and malicious conspiracy to steal money from their own client, Mrs. King, and deprive Mrs. King from her rights and interests in the estate of her late husband.” But the firm rebuffed these allegations. In June, Radaronline.com reported that the legal fight between Shawn and Larry Jr over the $144 million estate of Larry was settled outside court. The battle ensued after the broadcasting pioneer’s son came up with an apparent 2019 handwritten will, which suggested the estate should be equally and only distributed among Larry’s children.
But Shawn raised her doubt over the altered will and requested the court to consider “an existing 2015 will she described as a ‘watertight family estate plan’ that names HER as the executor of the estate.” Eventually, an agreement was reached between the two parties.
At the time, Bruce S Ross, lawyer of Larry Jr, told RadarOnline.com, “The case has been resolved through a confidential settlement. Enough said.” Also, a Texas-based forensic-based handwriting expert Peggy Walla had told the publication that the new apparent will looked suspicious. Walla stated, “There was something wonky about his handwriting. The wording on the document that is reportedly his will is off — I cannot see an educated man or a man with his skill of talking on television with other people for as long as he did — writing like that. It just seems bizarre to me."
The expert added, “I don’t know if he was in La-La Land, but he wrote it. But there was something going on with him either health wise or mentally — it’s inexplicable. When compared to some of his other writings you can see how decisive he was and how orderly he was in the key points that he wanted to get across. It looks like the witness wrote the date and California law requires the writer of a holographic will has to write the date, they have to write the content and they have to sign it.”
