Kristen Bell returns to Netflix, to play lead in Erin Foster's comedy produced by 'Modern Family' creator
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kristen Bell is returning to Netflix. The streaming service recently gave the go-ahead for a comedy by Erin Foster, in which Bell will portray one of the two leads.
The show is characterized as being centered on the odd relationship between an irreverent, outspoken, agnostic woman and an unconventional rabbi. No other information about the characters have been made public yet. The show will be executive produced by both Foster and Bell, as well as by Steven Levitan, who was the co-creator of the hit comedy series 'Modern Family'.

Kristen Bell to star in new Netflix comedy
The show comes from 20th Television, where Levitan is covered by an overall contract, while Foster and her sister, Sara, are covered by a pod arrangement, as per Deadline. This is reportedly the first series order for a 20th TV project at the streaming giant, since the studio became a part of Disney.
Shows starring Kristen Bell
Foster's real-life experiences are only vaguely reflected in the untitled Bell series, which has been in talks at the streamer for the past few months. After appearing in the short-lived series 'The Lady in the Home Across from the Girl in the Window' in 2022, Bell is back with Netflix. "I hope that we do 100 seasons where murders just follow Anna around," Bell told TV Insider after the series dropped, adding, "This tone is so much fun to figure out what it was and how to nail it. I think we did a pretty good job. And having the blessing of the queen of psychological thrillers in the final episode was such an honor." Co-creator Larry Dorf said, "We did spend time crafting what happened when that plane lands. So pages exist."
Bell is also known for starring in hit shows including 'The Good Place' on NBC, for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination in 2019. She also previously starred in the detective series 'Veronica Mars,' which was revived at Hulu in 2019 for one season. When it comes to movies, Bell voiced Anna in the 'Frozen' franchise and was part of the 'Bad Moms' franchise as well.
