Kit Harington and Rose Leslie have officially taken up their new role as parents. The stars, who played on-screen lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte in the HBO mega-series 'Game of Thrones', have welcomed their first child together — a baby boy, Harington’s representative Marianna Shafran confirmed to USA TODAY on Tuesday, February 16.

Shafran said the actors are "very very happy" although no further details were given, and the baby's name and birth date remain unknown. Page Six published photos of the couple, both 34, stepping out in London on Tuesday, February 16, with their newborn.

A smiling Harington held tightly onto Leslie’s hand as she cradled the infant strapped to her chest, while he carried a large shopping bag from Sainsbury’s. The Internet is over the moon for the new baby, many showing their love and some chipping in with their baby name ideas.

"Kit Harrington name your child Red Harrington challenge," said a tweet, suggesting a name for the newborn. Others were happy for the iconic couple. A tweet said, "not me about to cry about kit harington and rose leslie having a baby now! iconic duo", while another said, "KIT HARRINGTON AND ROSE LESLIE ARE PARENTS TO A BABY BOY IM SO HAPPY FOR THEM."

Some shared memes from 'Game of Thrones' where Jon Snow says to Ygritte, "I do know some things". In fact, the new arrival to the Harington's family have spurred fans to go back and revisit the series again. "Kit Harington and Rose Leslie had their baby and winter has come truly what is stopping me from rewatching 'Game of Thrones'."

It wasn't just name-picking. Some Twitter users also tried their hand at picking out godparents for Harington junior. "Imagine if Kit Harington picked his brother to be godfather and Rose Leslie picked her sister to be godmother to their baby. That would be the sweetest thing they could possibly do instead of picking close friends," said a tweet.

Some sent hugs to the new parents: "I would like to congratulate Kit Harington and Rose Leslie on the arrival of their first baby! A hug full of affection for the new parents, who will give their love to such a beautiful and wonderful baby! God bless the new member of your family!!!"

Not all fans were in a congratulatory mood, though. Some were sad that their favorite actor had a baby. "I Will Always Love You is playing @ work as I find out Kit Harrington had a baby about to go cry bye," tweeted one. Another user went back to the TV show, saying, "I’ll forever be impressed that for the Jon Snow reveal in season 6 they found a baby as brooding as Kit Harrington".
