'I've nothing to be ashamed of': Kim Petras hits back at jibes over Dr Luke collabs as Kesha trial nears
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Singer and songwriter Kim Petras has defended her continued partnership with Dr Luke, whose trial against Kesha will begin next year. As the trial draws near, Petras has faced questions about her decision to work with Dr Luke.
Many Twitter users rushed to reply to Petras's tweet that read, "Get talented or good at anything then talk to me." A user responded, "Stop defending dr luke first then." Later, Petras deleted her response to this tweet.

Kesha ordered to pay Dr Luke $375,000 in defamation case as her team vows to fight back
"5000000 ppl work with him why y'all only coming at me. I have nothing to say or be ashamed of at all. go away," read her deleted response on November 27. She appeared steadfast in her defense of her long-time producer in the face of massive Twitter outrage. Dr Luke has been accused of sexually assaulting Kesha.
Kesha had sought to invalidate her contracts and made accusations of sexual assault and battery in 2014. Vehemently denying the allegations throughout, Dr Luke countersued for defamation. The court ordered Kesha to pay KMI $375,000 for breach of contract.
According to E!News, the ruling found that Kesha was in breach of her contract with KMI. She was ordered to pay them a "pre-judgment interest of $373,671.88." After years of litigation, the civil case trial is set to begin next year.
Deleting most of her tweets from Sunday, Petras gave up her back-and-forth with Kesha supporters as she suggested that she was sick of arguing.
While Petras has an extensive professional relationship with Dr Luke, it is worth noting that several famous artists have worked with him even after Kesha went public with her claims. Petras' tweet seemed to highlight her resentment at being constantly singled out.
Doja Cat Luke, Saweetie, DaBaby, The Kid Laroi, Tyga, Lourdiz, and many other stars have since collaborated with the American record producer. Besides, on all their tracks, Dr Luke has been credited as either a writer or co-writer.
