Kim Kardashian 'unhappy' over Met Gala ban but now she's all set to attend star-studded event, say sources
The Met Gala is without a doubt the biggest event in the fashion calendar, but it appears the illustrious evening is losing its luster, leading Vogue chief Anna Wintour to tighten up the guest list – and one of the biggest names is on the chopping back list. It was none other than the infamous Kardashian family this time.
There are even rumors that none of the Kardashians received an invitation this year, despite the fact that the entire family attended the event for the first time in 2022. In light of the assertion that she and her family were not invited to this year's Met Gala, Kim Kardashian has expressed her embarrassment over the matter. The Gala, though, might have different ideas in mind.

How did Kim make it to the cut-off list?
Despite having walked the Met Gala red carpet in previous years, an insider told Page Six that neither Kim, 42, nor her siblings or mother Kris Jenner will receive an invitation to the event on May 1. A source told the magazine that the stars might still show up, but Vogue declined to comment on the guest list in response to the publication's request. In order to set the record straight, an insider with direct knowledge of the circumstances revealed exclusively to The US Sun on Monday that Anna had intended to cut off the guest list this year and make it a more exclusive event.
According to the source, Kim was left "very unhappy," and despite staffers' best efforts to mend fences, tensions have developed between her and the Conde Nast crew. "Everyone involved has been embarrassed, but Kim is still enthusiastic and had already been working with a renowned fashion house to create a unique appearance for the evening," they continued.
A Kardashian-free Gala
With the arrival of Kourtney and Khloe in 2022, the whole Kardashian-Jenner family made their Met Gala debut. Khloe, 38, allegedly missed out on an invitation to the exclusive dinner because Anna Wintour thought she was "too C-list" for it. The founder of ‘Good American’ was not invited to the party, according to sources, since she could not compete with the host of music, film, and modeling celebrities.
Although she had earlier expressed little interest in attending the family's Hulu show, she later insisted, saying, "Red carpets aren't my thing. I believe I made my point extremely clear." Khloe donned a beaded, gold Moschino dress that was lambasted by some fans for being "boring" for the ‘Gilded Glamour’ theme after she eventually accepted an invitation. This year's star-studded affair is May 1 and has the theme 'Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty'.
