Kim Kardashian gets a Queen-sized NO to plea for invite to Platinum Jubilee official party
Kim Kardashian might be the Queen of reality TV, but her dream of joining the official Platinum Jubilee celebrations in the UK has gone for a toss. Despite her best efforts, Buckingham Palace has rejected Kim’s pleas to attend Jubilee celebrations, as per Daily Mail. Unfortunately, tickets to the concert were balloted, with 100,000 people expected to attend the event.
The party is at the center of the celebrations of the Queen's 70 years on the throne as is a grand concert taking place at Buckingham Palace on June 4. As per the reports, representatives for the star — who landed in the UK with her boyfriend Pete Davidson, just a week before the celebrations — asked for tickets. However, it wasn’t just Buckingham Palace that turned the couple down, even the publicists at the BBC, who will broadcast the show, didn't entertain the request.

The pair's visit to the UK has come just ahead of Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, which started on June 2. Kim and Pete were actually spotted stepping out for a date at River Café in Hammersmith on Monday night, May 30, just in time for the Jubilee celebrations. Ruth Rogers, owner of the café posted a photograph of herself opening a car door for the couple on her Instagram. The chef wrote in the post caption: “About last night.”
While the Queen herself will not be attending the party, members of the Royal Family are expected to attend on behalf of the Queen, who is 'pacing herself' but will be watching on TV from Windsor Castle. The event is said to feature an impressive line-up, including global music stars with a live orchestra, as well as actors from film and TV.
The rejection has to a sore spot for the 'KUTW' star as she seemed 'determined to attend', claims a source to Daily Mail. They further on to say how Kim was trying to acquire tickets by other means — and has even said she doesn't mind if the tickets are 'not VIP'. They said: "Kim rarely gets turned down to attend any event, so this has been quite surprising, especially as she doesn't visit the UK often. Kim and Pete love the Royal Family and really wanted to be a part of this special celebration."
Whether they actually arrived for the big weekend or for something else is unclear. But many were quick to react post the news broke out of the rejection. One said, "WHO does @KimKardashian think she is?! flew to London assuming she could attend @QueenLizII‘s Jubilee Bash on Saturday they told her No. more people should!" Another wrote, "Kim Kardashian just flew to London and then the royal family informed her she was denied entry to the queen's Platinum Jubilee celebration."
The bashing continued with tweets like "#KimKardashian isn't remotely WORTHY. They're not in need of 'accidental' sex tape faux celebrities," from a user.
