LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: When Kim Kardashian recently teamed up with Balenciaga as their brand ambassador, the internet didn't hold back in a chorus of mockery. People ridiculed her for aligning with a brand perceived to be downplaying values, and online jests intensified, suggesting she had associated herself with anything that paid her.

The online banter highlighted the skepticism surrounding her partnership with Balenciaga, calling her 'morally bankrupt' and turning a blind eye to its past scandal. In November last year, Balenciaga faced a storm of criticism for an ad campaign showing children in teddy bear bondage outfits, putting both the brand and its designer, Demna, in hot water.

Since then, Balenciaga has been on a tough road to recover its image, slowly making a comeback. The fallout has cast a shadow on the brand, affecting not just its reputation but also impacting everyone connected with it.

The internet attacked Kim for her union with the brand, "so selfish, is she just going to turn a blind eye to the scandal?" A user said on Reddit.

"She really has no shame. The woman has more money than generations will ever spend, she's a mother, and she'll still pump up a brand that pimps out children. She's just so morally bankrupt it's sick," said another.

"Grosssss her and Kayne !! Cancel this Epstein fashion house," said one.

"A commitment to doing what’s right’!? OMFG girl get a grip, you are marketing a designer clothing brand not arbitrating world peace bffr. Also the only reason Balenciaga are stopping so low as to have Kim rep the brand is because of the pedo controversy," added another.

"Yes they're the same pdfiles brand," added other.
