Kim Kardashian and Kanye West jet to island 'fortress' to avoid paparazzi in last-ditch bid to save marriage
Kim Kardashian seems to be dead serious about trying to save her marriage. As a result, the reality star, who famously documents every little incident in her life, has chosen to fly with her husband her kids to a remote island outside the country so that they cannot be disturbed by the paparazzi under any circumstances in order to regroup and get their life back on track after Kanye West's bipolar episode last month.
We previously reported that in media photos that emerged over the weekend, Kanye was seen boarding a private jet in Wyoming with his son, Saint West. The youngster was seen getting on the plane at a landing strip Sunday in Cody that his father had boarded earlier with a member of what seemed like the security team. "The couple decided to jump on a jet and take a private family vacation to try and work things out. We're told the trip was something the couple discussed when Kim visited Kanye in an emotional trip to Wyoming last weekend," sources told TMZ.
Although neither the KKW Beauty mogul nor any of the other Kardashian-Jenner clan members were photographed, it is a possibility that the rest of the family were already inside when the pictures were clicked. It was unclear as to where the jet was headed but it was reported that the plane had taken off from Los Angeles, California, before arriving in Wyoming.
Now the same outlet has reported that the power couple deliberately designed the private family vacation so that there would be no photographers allowed. In fact, the place selected by them for the trip was described as a "fortress," located at such a remote location it would be impossible for trespassers to get close. All that is known about the place is that it is a tropical island outside of the United States.
Reports are calling it the "make-or-break holiday" for the couple who have been married for six years. The vacation comes after Kim flew to their Wyoming ranch where Kanye was holed up after weeks of the rapper refusing to meet his wife. Last week, photos taken by paparazzi of the power couple, revealed a tearful Kim having an intense discussion with her husband.
According to reports, during her emotional visit to Wyoming to see her husband, Kim urged the rapper to abandon all thoughts of running for president of the United States this year and to "focus on his mental health instead''. "Kim urged Kanye to not move forward with running for president, but he won't listen," a source told People Magazine. In a Forbes interview July 8, the musician said, "God just gave me the clarity and said it’s time. You know I was out there, ended up in the hospital, people were calling me crazy. I'm not crazy."
Although the KKW Beauty mogul initially appeared to support her husband’s presidential ambitions by reposting her husband's declaration to run for office on her own social media page, along with an American flag emoji on July 4, she soon changed her tune after Kanye shockingly revealed at a South Carolina rally that the couple had considered having an abortion when she became pregnant with their eldest daughter North and later claimed on Twitter that Kim tried to have him "locked up." He also called his mother-in-law a "White supremacist" and referred to her as 'Kris Jung-un.'
Their meeting came after West apologized to the reality star on Saturday, July 25, for publicly sharing intimate details, which included claims like his wife trying to have an affair with rapper Meek Mill. In a Twitter post, the 43-year-old said: “I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter. I did not cover her like she has covered me. To Kim, I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me.”
