Kim Kardashian gifts daughter North another accessory from Michael Jackson's closet: his 'Smooth Criminal' hat
The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ star went a million steps beyond this holiday season with an exclusive gift for her six-year-old daughter, North. Kardashian bought the King of Pop's 'Smooth Criminal' hat for her tiny tot as Christmas gift. And, it also had traces of makeup MJ had used for the shoot.
Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West picked up the white fedora that Jackson wore in his hit pop video in 1988, at an auction of the music icon's memorabilia.
Kim also shared a photo of her gift to her daughter on her social media post, which also shows the remains of the face makeup on the brim and inside that MJ would have used for the video.
However, that's not all that the West family bought for their little one this Christmas. We had earlier reported that their gifting spree also included Michael Jackson's velvet jacket.
The heavily embellished jacket is another iconic piece of the legendary pop star's costumes, which he once wore when he went out with Elizabeth Taylor. The inside of the jacket pockets are lined with pictures of the late pop icon wearing the outfit with Taylor.
According to a report by People, Kardashian explained that their daughter, North is indeed a big fan of MJ and they knew she would love these gifts.
Since North is still quite young, the sleeves of the jackets had to be altered a little so she could wear it now and eventually keep wearing it (in its regular size) when she grows up.
Kim also has had a history with the Jackson family. As a teenager, she once dated MJ's nephew, TJ Jackson. At that time, she had even visited the pop star's huge estate, the Neverland Ranch.
In a 2009 interview with People, she revealed that she celebrated her birthday at the massive estate.
Driving through the property, watching baby elephants, chimpanzees, and enjoying all the exciting rides, was more than a teenage Kardashian could have ever imagined. And they will remain as her fondest memories for the rest of her life, she shared.
