Hours after Pete Davidson's final appearance on "Saturday Night Live" on Sunday, May 22, reality show star Kim Kardashian uploaded a collage of her beau on her Instagram. Shortly after allegations surfaced on Friday, May 20, that he was quitting the popular sketch comedy series after eight years, the "King of Staten Island" star confirmed his departure. Davidson rose to stardom after joining in 2014, thanks to notable guest appearances on "Weekend Update," film roles, Netflix specials, and a slew of high-profile relationships.

Kim and Davidson have been supportive of each other in silent ways as previously the KKW mogul revealed in a talk show that Pete has tattoos dedicated to her which include a tattoo that reads, "My girl is a lawyer," referencing the KUWTK alum passing her mini-bar exam.

"Hello, Colin and Michael, and millions of people only watching to see if I bring up Kanye [West]," Davidson, 28, said on 'Weekend Update,' referring to his 41-year-old girlfriend's 44-year-old ex-husband. "I never imagined this would be my life," Davidson said.

The comedian then reflected on his experience joining 'SNL' when he was barely 20 years old in 2014. As a throwback photo of himself appeared on the screen, he stated, "Look at me when I started here."

"Back then I was just, like, a skinny kid and no one knew what race I was. Like now, everyone knows I'm white because I became hugely successful while barely showing up to work," Davidson remarked.

Davidson also mentioned his brief engagement with Ariana Grande during his departure speech and gave a shoutout to show creator and producer Lorne Michaels. Michaels, 77, "really always gives me the best advise," Davidson added.

"This is all true. I'll never forget. I called him when I got engaged. I was like, 'Lorne, I just got engaged to Ariana Grande after dating her for two weeks.' He goes, 'Oh, well hold on for dear life.' It's a true story," Davidson said.

Many fans left sweet messages, with one fan writing: "Omg!!! So emotional. Favorite part of snl for sure. Wishing it was longer 🥺🥺 the best is yet to come!!!! 💜" Another admirer who praised his appearance on the show wrote: "I remember immediately liking PD when he made his appearance on WU as the guy who'd go down on a guy for a million dollars. I laughed so hard, I was hooked." Many more expressed their sadness in their comments, but they all valued the time Davidson spent on the show and wished him well.

While Davidson was taping "SNL" in New York City, where he met Kim for the first time during her hosting debut in October 2021, the KKW Beauty entrepreneur was in Italy for her big sister Kourtney Kardashian's wedding to Travis Barker. Kylie Jenner, Kris Jenner, Kendall Jenner, and Khloé Kardashian are among the Kardashians sighted in Portofino.
