Kim Kardashian flaunts $1M emerald-diamond necklace 4 years after being robbed of $10M jewelry in Paris
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian took to her KKW Beauty Instagram page and shared an image where she sports a stunning dazzling emerald and diamond necklace. It seemed like the teardrop-cut rock was over 15 carats surrounded by large diamonds. Kim was seen sporting a strapless top, with all focus on the gorgeous bling. She has not been seen wearing much bling ever since she was robbed of $10million worth of jewelry in Paris at gunpoint around four years ago in 2016.
The piece Kim was seen sporting in the picture looked to be worth an estimated $1 million and was most likely a piece that was made by her friend Lorraine Schwartz who is an LA-based jewelry designer. Schwartz has made many of Kim's jewelry pieces, including her engagement ring from Kanye West.
The 'Keeping Up with The Kardashians' star has worn Schwartz's pieces in the past such as diamond chokers and drop earrings while promoting her perfume collaboration with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe. Normally Kim sports very little bling while doing ads for KKW Beauty and SKIMS as she wants the main focus to be on her products. She also hardly ever sports heavy jewelry in real life.
Some social media users took to Twitter to slam Kim for flaunting her wealth. One such user shared, "Kim Kardashian's ego wasn't poppin off when she was robbed overseas for boasting about her jewelry. She got some humility really quick. Everybody in that family must have a hard-ass head." "She can't help herself. If she didn't learn from posting new jewelry; then getting robbed because of the posts. She is a stone," commented another user.

Back in 2016, robbers had held Kim hostage at gunpoint while she was in Paris. The incident had taken place on October 2, 2016, at a luxury residence in France, where the reality star was staying during the Paris Fashion Week. It is reportedly the biggest robbery of an individual in France in the last two decades. According to reports, five men tied her up, gagged her and locked her in a bathroom, before making off with nine million Euros ($10.6 million) in jewels, including her four-million-Euro diamond engagement ring.
The only item to be recovered from the heist is a diamond-encrusted cross worth 30,000 Euros, which was dropped by one of the robbers who was fleeing the scene of crime on a bicycle. It was found by a passer-by in a street a few hours later. Recently, Kim has been celebrating her 40th birthday with her family and friends this weekend. She turned 40 on October 21 and shared some images of the party she threw at a tropical Island that irked people on social media who slammed her for flaunting her wealth and status. Kim posted some images of the celebration on Twitter and wrote, “40 and feeling so humbled and blessed. There is not a single day that I take for granted, especially during these times when we are all reminded of the things that truly matter.”

In subsequent tweets, she said, “For my birthday this year, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend it than with some of the people who have helped shaped me into the woman I am today.” She continued, “Before Covid-19, I don’t think any of us truly appreciated what a simple luxury it was to be able to travel and be together with family and friends in a safe environment.”
