Kesha dedicates sexy video to 'Home Alone' star Macaulay Culkin who made stay-at-home cool, fans go berserk
Much before lockdown started because of coronavirus, Macaulay Culkin made staying at home cool. All thanks to his 1990 family comedy 'Home Alone'.
Probably remembering the significance of it in such times, Kesha decided to pay tribute to the actor in a new video on April 16.
The 33-year-old singer-songwriter took to Twitter to reveal a 30-second jingle which took inspiration from the classic film, and we see Kesha pulling sexy, playful moves in white thigh-high socks and an oversized button-down to a thick, thumping percussive beat with only her voice and backing vocals providing the melody.
The clip opens with a quick scene from the film with the young Culkin saying "Hello" to the unsuspecting criminal victim of his Daisy BB gun, and we snap to Kesha performing in several shots around the house, including the kitchen, staircase, and on her bed. "You know I'm home, alone / Macaulay, 'Caulay Culkin / And boo, I'm bored / My cellular is broken / I'm in the mood, I'm in the zone / Honey, I'm not joking," she sings.
In her caption on Twitter, Kesha writes, "I’ve been bored at home so I made a song for u animals!!! And a little video (sic)" before the songstress dedicates the clip to those under the lockdown who are alone and to Culkin. "It’s called HOME ALONE... dedicated to all of you sexy people hanging at home...alone. And also dedicated to the one and only @IncredibleCulk!! (sic)," she says.
Fans were quick to respond to the video. Among a multitude of comments begging for Kesha to release a full version of the song, one fan asks, "Why so hot?" Many fans shared their excitement over the new video with comments (with numerous in all caps) like "YOU LOOK SOOOOO GOOD OMG (sic)", and "Oh. My. GOD!! Holy fuck I love you so much (sic)" and "HELP ME - I CANNOT HANDLE THIS IN MY CURRENT EMOTIONAL STATE". One fan says, "THIS IS ICONIC OMG (sic)." while another says, "You're a whole mood luv" along with a Simpsons meme of Moe holding several guns in hand that read "love gun", "compliment gun", "attention gun", "respect gun" and more.
The pop singer released her new album 'High Road' at the end of January, but perhaps Kesha's home alone mischief could lead to another album. "New album confirmed because of boredom?" asks a fan.
