Kelly Ripa shows off her impressive dance skills during festive night out with husband Mark Consuelos
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The Consuelos were the life of the party at The Pierre Hotel as they celebrated the festival of lights. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos showed off some impressive dancing skills on the dance floor at the grand celebration on Sunday, October 23.
Ripa wore an ornate bright pink Kurti going all Indian ethnic whereas Consuelos wore a classic black and white suit as they danced the night away to Indian music in honor of Diwali, which falls on Monday, October 24. On her Instagram stories, Ripa shared a "Happy Diwali" gif and a sneak peek of the party, calling it the "Best party ever." The event's stunning guest list can be seen in another video where Prabal Gurung, a fashion designer, passionately taught Consuelos some "new dance moves" at the venue.

Kal Penn, an actor and former member of Barack Obama's White House staff, served as the event's other host and was joined by Ripa in a lively dance. The guest list was as celebrity-studded as it was eclectic. The mother of three shared a final sneak peek of the event which shows Chasten Buttigieg, who is married to US Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg, was also present.
On her Instagram, Ripa also posted a few pictures and videos from the event with the caption, "If @kalpenn or anyone else invites you to a Diwali party, do it! Thank you to everyone for welcoming us with open arms, delicious food, chic fashion, and masterful beats! Happy Diwali 🪔 swipe to see what all the fun is about!"
Many people commented on the post, including Gurung, who wrote, "❤️❤️❤️ you and @instasuelos [Mark Consuelos] both so much. You were amazing and always are. 🙏🏾 what a fun night. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️." Chasten Buttigieg, the former first gentleman of South Bend, commented, "See you on the next dance floor!"
Makeup artist Kristofer Buckle commented, "That looks like the best time ever!" American comedian, Chelsea Handler commented, "I feel like I'm on mushrooms watching this dancing. Am I on mushrooms?"
The Consuelos seemed to be having the time of their lives as they enthusiastically performed amazing bhangra and other Indian dancing styles. The couple, who married in their twenties, have three kids: Michael Joseph Consuelos, 25, Lola Consuelos, 21, and Joaquin Antonio Consuelos, 19. Ripa and Consuelos met in 1995 while taking a screen test for the soap opera 'All My Children', but no one on the set was aware that they had been dating. It has now been 26 years since the two have been together.
