Suri Cruise looks gorgeous and all grown up in adorable selfie posted by mom Katie Holmes for the holidays
Katie Holmes and her 13-year old daughter Suri Cruise have been enjoying a quality mother-daughter time this holiday season.
As the two spend the last few days of the year together, bonding, and celebrating the onset of the New Year, the mother shared a lovely photo of themselves on her Instagram.
In the photo, the ladies can be seen smiling away and huddled together. The 41-year old actor is seen wearing a Santa hat and a snowman Christmas ornament in the photo post with the caption "Happy Holidays!!!!". It was followed by another photo from the same day.
In a recent interview, according to a People report, Holmes shared about her experience becoming a parent early in her life. She had Suri when she was in her 20s.
At that time, actor Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were married and in 2006, at the age of 27, she gave birth to their daughter, Suri. Despite what most women feel about being a mother at that young age, Holmes "was happy to become a mom" in her twenties.
The 'Dawson's Creek' actor feels that the age difference between her and her daughter fits in perfectly. She believes that every stage of her daughter growing up has been a good match for her own age as well, and this has made her feel as if they both grew up together.
As Holmes continues to explain her relationship with Suri, she says that she and her teenage daughter have a very special bond that they share.
This has also been made possible because the two often head out on a mother-daughter adventure. For instance, this April, the duo went to Paris to celebrate Suri's 13th birthday, while last May, they twinned in floral dresses to go to a ballet performance in NYC.
Holmes has also been very candid about being a woman in her 40s. She believes that this is indeed an "interesting" age to be in and that she is "excited" about her life and career ahead.
She expanded her professional talent a few years ago and ventured into a different direction from acting. She directed her first movie 'All We Had' and is now onto her second project, which will be coming up soon.
