Katie Holmes dumped 'disrespectful' Jamie Foxx because of his trysts with other women and his incessant partying
Days after news surfaced that actress Katie Holmes was the one to end her secret six-year romantic relationship with actor Jamie Foxx, it has now been revealed that she had a pretty good reason for calling it off.
The 40-year-old star was fed up with her 51-year-old boyfriend's lifestyle which also involved having trysts with women, according to a source who spoke to Us Weekly.
“It has been many years of him stepping out with other women,” the source said. “He’s disrespectful and their lives were different. His partying ways don’t fit with hers as she’s focused on raising her daughter and working.”
What added to difficulties in their relationship was the fact that they were trying to make their relationship work long-distance.
While Jamie lives in a mansion near Los Angeles, Katie would spend most of the year with her daughter, 13-year-old Suri from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise, in New York City.
Although Jamie and Katie had been romantically linked since 2013, they had never officially confirmed their relationship in an effort to keep it private. The couple was last seen together at the Met Gala on May 6.
Rumors of their breakup started circulating earlier this month after the 'Blame It' rapper was seen with two different women in Los Angeles.
He was first seen accompanying a mystery blonde at clubs Delilah and Highlight Room on Thursday, August 15.
A couple of days later, the 'Django Unchained' actor was spotted holding hands with singer Sela Vave at Bootsy Bellows in West Hollywood.
On the same day, an eyewitness told Page Six that the 'Batman Begins' star could be overheard telling a friend at La Esquina restaurant: "What Jamie does is his business... We haven’t been together for months."
Sources who spoke to both Page Six and E! News confirmed that the couple stopped seeing each other in May.
In April 2019, an insider told Us Weekly that, despite secretly dating for years, the couple had no plans to ever get married. “Katie and Jamie live a very private lifestyle and intend to keep it that way,” the source said at the time. “They don’t plan on getting engaged anytime soon because they’re happy with how things are right now."
