NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On Monday, September 25, 2023, Democratic New York Governor Kathy Hochul enlisted the National Guard to aid in the ongoing migrant crisis.

She announced that she’s dispatching an extra 150 National Guard personnel to manage the situation and assist with case management, with a focus on obtaining work permits for asylum seekers, notably those from Venezuela who are now eligible for temporary protected status.

Following this, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X (formerly Twitter) to report on Hochul’s action to curb the migrant crisis issue and update his followers more on it.

However, soon after Hannity’s tweet, the internet brutally trolled Hochul for “helping illegals register to vote.”

Sean Hannity reports Kathy Hochul dispatching National Guard over migrant crisis

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity took to X and wrote, “*JUST IN*”

His tweet featured an article from his official website which was titled “APPLE CRUMBLE: Kat Calls in National Guard to Assist With NYC Migrant Crisis.”

The article was placed under the “Metro Migrant Crisis’ category on Hannity’s website and featured a report from Fox News stating that Kathy Hochul is dispatching the National Guard to assist with the out-of-control migrant crisis in the Big Apple.

According to Fox News, “The additional 150 members bring the total number of National Guardsmen supporting the mission to 2,200. The governor said 250 National Guard members will focus solely on case management to help the Venezuelans who came before July 31 to apply for Temporary Protected Status – and then work authorization.”

Moreover, Hochul said, “Now that we have the opportunity granted by President Biden to help the Venezuelans who came before July 31st be able to apply for temporary protective status and what follows that literally with the same application, is the work authorization — that coveted work authorization. That’s their ticket to the American Dream.”

She further added, “You’ll be helping them get a job, helping them support themselves, helping them leave these shelters because I believe they did not come all these thousands of miles to live in a shelter with hundreds if not thousands of others.”

The governor has recognized that some migrants arriving in New York City “may be here and just want a bus ticket to another state, but they don’t know where to go.”

She said, “We can make that happen, but you have to have those conversations.”

Additionally, she's allocating $50 million to assist with migrant case management.

Meanwhile, buses carrying undocumented migrants are arriving at the Roosevelt Hotel in NYC.

Internet trolls Kathy Hochul over migrant crisis in New York City

After Sean Hannity tweeted Kathy Hochul’s announcement regarding the migrant crisis, the internet blasted her as one person wrote, “Gov. Hochul deployed the National Guard to probably help the illegals register to vote...”

One more added, “What's she gonna do with the Guard...have them deliver food and escort these people around the city?”

Another called out Hochul and asked, “Ha ha. Sanctuary city??????” while another wrote, “You got what you asked for, so what is the problem?!”

One user simply wrote, “The rotten apple is now worried!”

One more mocked Hochul and said, “That is racist Kat! Trumps wall is racist Kat! You said on TV all is welcomed and help manufactured this INVASION! Texas keep sending illegals to NY. Send some to Delaware, Philly, San Fran, New Jersey, Oregon, Michigan, & don’t forget The Views host front yard!”
