Kate Hudson claims she was 'madly in love' with Chris Robinson as she defends 'impulsive' marriage at 21
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kate Hudson spills beans on her choice to marry Chris Robinson at the age of 21 as she reveals that decision wasn't "impulsive." On Thursday, February 9, the actress defended her marriage with the performer, telling Erin Foster and Sara Foster, the co-hosts of 'The World's First Podcast', that she was "madly in love" at the time.
“I went to New York and I met Chris, and [when] I came home, I was like, ‘Oh, I’m marrying this guy.' It wasn’t even impulsive," Hudson, 43, recalled. She added that though many “thought it was impulsive," she said, “I was just like, ‘You know what? I’m going to dive right into this.'” The 'Glass Onion' actress "chose not to second guess" her decision to be married in 2000, claiming that she was too "in love" to pretend to wait. “I just jump in the deep end of everything I do,” she said, adding, “I just didn’t think twice.”

Kate Hudson recalls marriage with Chris Robinson
Ryder Robinson, now 19 years old, was born to the former couple before their divorce in 2007. The Golden Globes winner went on to have two more children. She gave birth to a son, Bingham Hawn, 11, with ex-fiance, Matt Bellamy, in 2011. In 2018, she had a daughter, Rani Rose, 4, with her fiance Danny Fujikawa. Although, Hudson attributes Robinson for teaching her "what it felt like to be unconditionally loved."
For Hudson, her relationship with the 56-year-old Black Crowes frontman was "so important" to her development. “Chris, like, completely opened that floodgate for me, forever, no matter how complicated the relationship got at one point,” the actress said. “The most important moment for me was meeting him and him allowing me to understand what that felt like.”
Hudson's co-parenting relationships with exes Robinson and Bellamy
The 'Almost Famous' star, who divorced Bellamy in 2014, has previously gushed about how "lucky" she is to have cordial co-parenting relationships with Robinson and Bellamy. “As much as I would say I don’t recommend it to most, my situation is quite amazing,” Hudson told Laura Wasser on her 'Divorce Sucks!' podcast in 2019. “I was very lucky to have partners in my life, and everyone was a different circumstance, that we were able to figure it out,” she continued. “I do feel that when you get divorced, you know, you’re still in a relationship. It’s just a different kind of relationship.”
Fujikawa and Hudson have been together since 2016, and five years after their relationship, the 36-year-old composer proposed. The co-creator of Fabletics admitted in November 2022 that she is "not in a hurry" to get married once more. “I love that man, [but] … the last thing we’re doing right now is planning anything,” she said at the time as per Entertainment Tonight.
