Kate Hudson announced engagement to her longtime boyfriend, Danny Fujikawa in a 'sweet' Instagram post. The actress, 42, shared the happy news on Monday, September 13. The couple has been dating for four years and are parents to 2-year-old daughter, Rani Rose.

The couple were seen kissing in the picture as they stood on a mountain top. The actress flaunted her engagement ring on her left hand and captioned the picture as, "Let's go." This would be Hudson's second marriage. She has a son Ryder, 17, with rocker Chris Robinson. Hudson and Robinson, 54, were married from 2000 to 2007. The actress also has a son Bingham, 9, from her former fiancé Matthew Bellamy, 43.

Hudson and Fujikawa have been dating since 2017. The two first met through Hudson's friends Sara and Erin Foster, who are also Fujikawa's stepsisters. In December 2017, Hudson spoke about her relationship while on 'The Talk', and said, "We've known each other for 15 years; he's my best friend's stepbrother. We kinda skipped through the part of knowing what the hiccups were. You kinda skip the part of going, 'Oh, you're like that?'" Hudson further said that while they've always known each other, the timing was never right as he was younger than her and she was "building a family and working very hard." "In terms of family, I've known his family forever. To have that connection is really powerful, " she said.

In April 2020, Hudson said Fujikawa "makes me feel beautiful every single moment of the day, even when we have fought." "I still feel loved. His devotion to the family unit makes me feel safe and confident and secure, " she said. The couple welcomed their daughter, Rani Rose, in October 2018, who they named after Fujikawa's late father. While announcing her pregnancy back in 2019, a source close to the actress had shared: “Once she met Danny she just knew that she wanted a baby with him and hoped and prayed that it would happen. For it to be a girl is just the icing on the cake. Danny is so good with kids and has been great with her boys.”
