Amanda Bynes took to Instagram to announce her engagement to a mystery man on Valentine's Day. Bynes, 33, is known for her roles in 'She's the Man', 'What a Girl Wants', and 'Easy A'.

The photo like this is rare from the actress who has stayed out of the spotlight over the last few years following struggles with drugs and mental health. Bynes returned to social media when she began using Instagram in September 2019. She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise [FIDM] as well.

In the photo, Bynes shows off her engagement ring in an up-close photo of her hand on someone else’s, presumably her fiancé’s, in an Instagram post. She captioned the post, writing, "Engaged to the love of my life."

While details around Bynes' fiancé remain scarce, People magazine reports that the actress met him towards the end of 2019, according to a source. The source also said, "She seems happy."

In an interview with Paper magazine in 2018, Bynes detailed her troubles with drugs, body image, and mental health issues. She said, "I went into a deep depression for 4-6 months because I didn't like how I looked when I was a boy," about seeing herself in 'She's the Man'.

While filming for 'Hall Pass' -- a role where she was later replaced by Alexandra Daddario -- Bynes said "I remembers seeing my image on the screen and literally tripping out and thinking my arm looked so fat because it was in the foreground or whatever and I remember rushing off set and thinking, Oh my god, I look so bad."

Fans of the actress took to Twitter to share their joy over Bynes' happy news. One fan tweeted, "Amanda Bynes got engaged today. I'm so happy for her," while another wrote, "My queen Amanda Bynes is engaged. I love you legend."
