"I thought it was a weird inventory thing"
The netizens were quick to respond to this controversy. A user tweeted, "but it’s directly impacting the customers who have to rummage through the bags and employees that either have to deal with customer rage over not being helped OR have to rummage through the bags with them. He made it harder on everyone BUT the corporation." Later a user claimed, "I kinda think so too. I love Kanye but couldn't imagine paying $200 for basic clothes out of a bag on the floor. These aren't CD/TLR fans, rich kids/Hypebeasts don't mind going out of their way to look trendy/cool. I think he exploits their vanity to build his empire."
Another tweet said, "Is THAT what that was? Saw it at the Grove. I thought it was a weird inventory thing. Even BEFORE Covid I'm not digging through a pile of clothes like that." Another user tweeted, "In Poland we just call them 2nd hand stores lol". A user added, "He really going hard on his “homeless” statement pieces , i will never understand the purpose of this “fashion” line. There’s those in the streets who have to look the way they look cause they have no choice, but ppl spend $$$ too look like those who are less fortunate." "Making it look like you’re digging through giant trash bags for clothes. Interesting." another tweet read.
