Kanye-Drake feud: Ye proposes REUNION with Drizzy after Kim Kardashian affair rumors
Hip-hop fans are quite still in disbelief after rapper Kanye West, who has renamed himself as simply Ye, fielded the idea of a possible reunion with fellow rapper Drake. The two rap icons have had a feud for over 12 years, and each artist religiously continues to diss or shade the other in songs or media. Moreover, the feud took a new turn altogether last week when Kanye criticized Drake for implying that he has had an affair with the former's ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
The rumors started long before the reality star and the rapper announced their divorce early this year. It happened in 2018 when Drake released his song "KiKi", which coincidentally happens to be the nickname of Kim. In a series of Instagram posts, Kanye lashed out at Drizzy saying, "The fact that it’s people making rumors or thinking that you f**ked my wife and you not saying nothing and you carrying it like that. That don’t sit well with my spirit.” Even last week, Kanye called Drake 'disrespectful' during the Drink Champs podcast. Meanwhile, Drake had repeatedly accused Ye of releasing private details about his son Adonis to rival rapper Pusha T, an accusation Kanye has always denied. Fans are far more bewildered now to learn that the 'Donda' hitmaker proposed the impossible reunion over an individual named Larry Hoover. Read on to find out more about Hoover and Kanye's forthcoming plans.

Kanye, who is a vocal advocate of criminal justice reforms, revealed that he and Drake wish to end their 12-year-long feud. He plans to stand together with Drizzy in support of Larry Hoover, a convicted criminal who has been imprisoned since 1993.
Hoover, the cofounder of the Chicago Gangster Disciples, was sentenced in 1993 for ordering a murder. He received six more life sentences in 1997 on multiple charges of gang activity. Kanye is now strongly pushing for his freedom. In fact, he recently featured Hoover's son Larry Hoover Jr. in the song 'Jesus Lord' in Donda.
Speaking about the possible end of feud with Drake, Ye said, "I’m making this video to address the ongoing back-and-forth between myself and Drake. Both me and Drake have taken shots at each other, and it’s time to put it to rest."
He continued, "I’m asking Drake on Dec. 7 to join me on stage as a special guest to share the two biggest albums of the year, live in Los Angeles, with the ultimate purpose being to free Larry Hoover. I believe this event will not only bring awareness to our cause, but prove to people everywhere how much more we can accomplish when we lay our pride to the side and come together.”
The announcement has left the rap world gaping in shock and wonder. However, only time will tell whether the reunion happens on December 7, 2021, or hits other speed bumps before that. Meanwhile, Drake is yet to release his response to Kanye's call.
