Justin Bieber and Kodak Black sued one year after shooting outside singer's glitzy concert after-party in West Hollywood
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The rapper Kodak Black and singer Justin Bieber are being sued by two people who were shot on February 12, 2022, outside the singer's glitzy concert afterparty. Mark Schaefer and Adam Rahman assert that they were "severely injured" as a result of being hit during the incident that took place over the Super Bowl LVI weekend.
The Peaches hitmaker, 28, was holding a party with a list of other celebs in attendance, including his wife Hailey Bieber, Khloe Kardashian, Tobey Maguire, and Drake, when the incident happened right outside of The Nice Guy restaurant in West Hollywood, noted the Daily Mail.

What happened outside the party?
Three people, including Kodak, were shot outside the party, but different outlets, however, report a total of four victims. Kodak's camp, as the outlet stated says as he was exiting the venue, one of his crew members was jumped by an unknown assailant. The rapper leaped to save his friend before the gunfire broke out.
The court document cited by the news outlets states that the victims claimed that Kodak was responsible for the shooting. They also claim that he was attempting to cause damage and exacerbate the situation, and they place full responsibility for the incident on his shoulders.
Due to inadequate protection, the alleged victims are suing not only Justin and Kodak but also the venue, as well as "the City of Los Angeles, the City of West Hollywood, LA County, The Hwood Group, and the Revolve Group for damages," in addition to Justin and Kodak, the report mentioned.
'I expect Kodak to be dismissed'
"I have seen a lot of bad complaints in my day. This is the most poorly drafted complaint I have seen in 26 years. I expect Kodak to be dismissed from this suit fairly quickly." Kodak's attorney, Bradford Cohen told TMZ. "There is zero specificity in the complaint and Allred groups the defendants all together instead of making specific allegations against each. It's law school 101. I am embarrassed for Allred that she actually signed her name to that complaint," he added.
Rappers Kodak Black, Lil Baby, and Gunna were leaving Justin's party at around 2:45 am when a fight with the rappers' buddies who were in a red Ferrari Sports Car started, as per a report at the time. Reportedly, Kodak Black then took a swipe at someone.
“The fight was believed to have started with someone in Kodak Black’s entourage,” a source told Page Six. “After others jumped in, shots were fired…and then all hell broke loose.” Ten shots were reportedly fired in total, according to the police, and sadly at least three people were either injured or sustained different types of injuries. “One victim sustained injuries to his shoulder, another to the buttocks, and a third was believed to be shot in the leg,” a source told the outlet.
