Julia Wandelt: Woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann sobs in video after being 'shunned' and called a 'horrible person' by family
LONDON, ENGLAND: Julia Wandelt, a Polish woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann, broke down in tears, alleging her family called her a “horrible person” and shunned her because of her claims. Wandelt, who is allegedly 21, gained notoriety after sharing supposed "evidence" that she was McCann, who went missing in 2007 when she was three.
Wandelt said that a German pedophile, who sexually assaulted her as a child, was the main suspect in her disappearance. She added that McCann's parents consented to a DNA test to confirm that she was, in fact, their daughter. "I talked with someone from Madeleine's family and I will have a possibility to talk with Madeleine's parents tomorrow and a DNA test will be done soon," she claimed in an Instagram post. Wandelt, who is being identified with three different surnames - including Faustyna, Wandelt and Wendell - sobbed inconsolably in the post while claiming that her family, who raised her, have called her to express their disapproval over her claims.

Wandelt continued by claiming that her family branded her "not normal" for giving "hope to the McCanns." What does Madeleine McCann's family say?
Sources close to McCann's family revealed that they felt Wandelt could be their missing daughter. “The family is taking no chances, they are willing to look at all leads. It is important they look at all of the factors, the girl does look similar. There’s no disputing that. If what she says is true, there is every chance it could be her. It all adds up," sources told The Daily Star.
