Julia Wandelt set to return to dad in Poland after DNA results reveal she isn't Madeleine McCann
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The Polish woman who claimed to be the missing Madeleine McCann will now have to return to her home country to live with her father. After many days of anticipation, the DNA results of Julia Wandelt, 21, finally came out on Tuesday, April 4, which disclosed that she is not the missing child.
The result revealed that Wandelt, who also goes by Julia Wendell, is 100% Eastern European, meaning that she can't be the British toddler who mysteriously disappeared in 2007. Private investigator and self-proclaimed psychic Dr Fia Johansson, who aided Julia in her quest for truth, took to Instagram to share the sad news.

'We finally know the reality'
"Julia’s test results are back. We finally know the reality," Dr Johansson told her 9.5 million followers. "Although it is impossible to tell for sure without the parents’ DNA results on either side, the test results speak to the origins of Julia’s root. The test results revealed that she is a 100% of Polish heart, with negligible influence from Lithuania, and Russia. The DNA test results did not show any connection to British or even German roots." She added, "Upon the revelation, she decided to be back with her dad. I personally wish her well."
'She truly believed what she was saying'
Dr Johansson urged others not to pass hateful remarks on the young Polish woman. Wandelt traveled to the US only a few days ago and has been campaigning tirelessly to learn the truth. "This story is much more complicated than a simple girl from a small town in Poland making a claim to get attention. She truly believed what she was saying, and with so many questions from her childhood, it is easy to understand where she was coming from," the psychic said. She added, "I prepared a short interview with Julia before leaving US. She broke down in tears about her past. It is a summary of our journey together and what we learned."
Online hatred
Julia's claims had led to a lot of hatred on social media platforms. Her journey to find out the answers began when she set up the now-deleted @IAmMadeleineMcCann Instagram account, which quickly gained over one million followers. In her posts, she laid out the evidence for her sensational theory, including that she looked similar to e-fit's prediction of what Madeleine would look like today, aged 19, as well as other members of the McCann family.
Fraught relations with family
Julia's decision comes following a period of tensions with her family in Poland. She even addressed her father directly in an interview with RadarOnline, saying, "I don't know if you're watching this… but I always knew that you're a good person. I'm almost sure that you're scared, which is the reason you're not talking to me now but you're the only person that didn't block me and you're still reading my messages. You're my dad. You always were my dad. Don't be scared. You always said to me that I'm a tiger and I have to fight with people who bullied me in school. I have to fight with my past … You taught me this. You can be this tiger too."
Julia's family, who has remained silent on the case since February, had previously claimed that it was "obvious" she wasn't Madeleine and "begged her to stop."
