Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth are expecting a baby girl nine months after devastating miscarriage
Joy-Anna Duggar and her husband Austin Forsyth are pregnant.
On Wednesday, March 18, Joy-Anna took to her social media to share the joyous news of the new arrival with her fans.
"Yes... it's true! @austin4site and I are PREGNANT again!" Joy-Anna wrote on her social media page. "Ahhh!!! It's been quite the crazy journey these last few months, but we are so thankful that mom and baby are healthy! We will give a more detailed update soon, but for now, go to our YouTube channel to find out the GENDER and to watch this journey we've been on." continued the caption.
In the video released on the YouTube channel, Joy-Anna has vlogged through each step of her pregnancy including the moment she first found out that she is indeed pregnant after taking two at-home pregnancy tests, the results of which differed. She also has on video, the sweet moments shared between her and her husband Austin while she revealed the news to him.
Stars of the reality show 'Counting On' on TLC, welcomed their first child, Gideon, in February 2018 via an emergency C-section. In May 2019, they had announced that their second child, a baby girl, is on its way. However, their joy was shortlived when they learned at a 20-week ultrasound that they've lost their baby who they had named Annabell Elise.
"I cannot believe it. If it's true, I'm shocked. I'm not as scared as I thought I'd be after miscarrying at 20 weeks," Anna shared excitedly in the video. "I thought I was going to be so nervous, but I'm not. I'm excited. It's crazy."
She also spoke about doctors raising concerns in the initial stages of her current pregnancy but also assured viewers that tests have confirmed that her baby is looking healthy at the moment. The couple also filmed their grand gender reveal party wherein they brought their entire family out on an open field and a helicopter dropped pink paper confetti from the sky, confirming that a baby girl is on its way for the Forsyths.
"I could not believe it. I just started crying. I didn't even know what to say," Joy-Anna recalled after learning that she's yet again pregnant with a baby girl. "We're super excited, nervous and thankful all at the same time."
The couple's rainbow baby is expected to arrive in August.
