John Schneider says his love for late wife Alicia 'continues to grow each and every day' in heartbreaking post
HOLDEN, LOUISIANA: John Schneider has been mourning publicly since his wife Alicia Allain succumbed to cancer a week after Valentine's Day this year. The actor has been leaving several messages on Facebook in her honor and wrote of how his love for her "continues to grow each and every day" nearly a month after her death.
The 'Dukes of Hazzard' star has been unable to move on with his life and continues to grieve his wife's demise. On March 16, almost a month after her passing, the actor voiced his pain on Facebook. He shared a picture of himself with Alicia at what appeared to be a restaurant. The doting couple matched with black tops and seemed to be enjoying spending time over a meal.

'Days continue to drag on'
The actor insisted that time has been moving rather slowly for him since losing the love of his life, and he is unable to move on. "My sweet love, the days continue to drag on. It seems as if it now takes a week for a day to go by. [The only] good side to this is that my love for you continues to grow each and every day," he wrote, adding that he heard grief was the price one pays for being in love. John said he accepts the grief wholeheartedly because he wouldn't trade Alicia's love for anything in the world. "The void left by you is indescribable. The silence in our home is deafening," the actor said.
The movie star also mentioned that he did not want to be his late wife's only cause of concern in her afterlife, and promised that he would eventually feel okay as he had told her he would. Alicia died on February 21, and it was John who broke the devastating news to the public. While he didn't disclose many details, her obituary mentioned the date of her death and that she was surrounded by her loved ones in her final moments.
'I miss you desperately'
Schneider, however, pleaded with the public to give him and his deceased wife's family the privacy and space to process their loss. The couple started dating in 2015 and tied the knot in 2019. "I simply have no words but… I miss you desperately, Mrs. Schneider," he captioned a Facebook post with a picture of them kissing.
Born in 1969 in south Louisiana, Alicia was a well-known producer and actress, best known for working in 'Leather Jackets', 'The Badge', and 'Caged Fear.' She was also a music producer and hairstylist. It's worth noting that she has produced several film projects, including dramas 'Anderson Bench' and 'Like Son', 'Smokey and the Bandit' tribute films 'Stand On It!' and 'Poker Run', the holiday flick 'Christmas Cars', and their most recent project, the US flag focused 'To Die For.' Meanwhile, the couple also worked on about 110 songs together.
The actress leaves behind one child she welcomed with her first husband, Patrick Dollard.
