'I miss you desperately': John Schneider pays heartbreaking tribute to deceased wife Alicia Allain
HOLDEN, LOUISIANA: John Schneider posted a heartbreaking tribute to his wife Alicia Allain and said that he "desperately" misses his wife in the series of loved-up photos. This comes days after Schneider had shockingly announced Allain’s death, the cause of which has not been revealed. However, it has been suspected that it may have been breast cancer that Allain had ultimately succumbed to as Schneider had previously opened up about his wife’s struggles with the terminal illness during a ‘Fox & Friends’ appearance.
"I simply have no words but… I miss you desperately Mrs Schneider," the ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ actor captioned the post, which is a lovely photo of him kissing his late wife. In another photo of the actor kissing his wife, he wrote, "For me, this is what love looks like."

John Schneider’s wife Alicia Allain dies at 53
Schneider had announced the death of his wife only a few days ago through a Facebook post of two pictures. One of the pictures was of his wife and another was a photo of their hands entwined with their wedding bands in prominent display. “My beautiful Smile is pain free, living in her new body alongside Jesus. Please respect our privacy during this time of grief,” Schneider had said about his wife Allain’s death. He then went on to add, “Please do not ask any questions. If you have any pictures of us and our obvious love and adoration for each other, please post them below. Lastly… hug those you love tight and let them know how you feel. We always did.”
Schneider had previously let the public know that his wife was battling breast cancer. He stated that she was "diagnosed with stage 4 HER2 negative cancer," and then went on to add that, "She was three years into a five-year shelf life.”
‘Grief is much too small a word’
Schneider had posted another photo of himself with his wife as he lovingly embraced her. In the caption, the country singer put down his thoughts on handling grief and how much he missed his deceased wife. Schneider said, “This is a time of unimaginable sorrow for me. Grief is much too small a word. I’ve heard (it) said that “with great love comes great sorrow.” I had no idea what that meant until now. Alicia was the fuel that ran my biggest dreams. The inspiration behind every creative thought. The very fabric of my soul. The glue that held me together.”
He then went on to thank the fans for their support through this hard phase of time and wrote, “I miss her more than any words could possibly describe. Pain is too small a word. Grief is too small a word. Love itself is too small a word. Thank you for your thoughts, concerns and prayers.”
